Re: Contributor Agreement License details - updated version

(...) Actually I'm fairly certain the folks at Lego could easily devise a way to import a model file into LDD on a PC with NONE of the official Ldraw files installed. They could then generate a rendering in LDD and publish that on the internet, (...) (19 years ago, 5-Feb-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

(...) I miss it too. When I get a sand green headlight brick I'll put it back but I'm trying to steer clear of BL for the time being ;) (...) Very nice proto. (...) I figured you were which is why I called it unfair. Without the library the render cannot exist. Without the library the LDraw file is just a meaningless list of transformations and codes. (...) Looks great! I do miss the sand green 1x1 tile on the headlight brick towards the rear though. Regardless of what it represented, I think it added some nice texture there. I really want to build on of these for myself. I just love the look of (...) (19 years ago, 5-Feb-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Contributor Agreement License details - updated version

(...) Actually I was thinking of the LDraw library as the chisel(s), and to be honest, I don't understand why it's an unfair analogy. It just seems obvious to me. But anyhow, look, I like Ldraw files and renders. I want to see more of them. And (...) (19 years ago, 5-Feb-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: NXT controlled Red Quad

(...) Hi J-M, and thank you. I am glad you enjoy seeing my creations. I enjoy making them and it is fun to share them as well. I am checking to see if I can make a smallish Quad in green. I will also be making a short movie and I just fixed a couple (...) (19 years ago, 5-Feb-07, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) Hi Willy, Yes, those 6 stickers match up to the "004159" sticker sheet. I can tell because the sticker sheet has the colors around the edges where the stickers used to be (except for the Japanese sticker, which has a white background and just (...)   Re: NXT controlled Red Quad

(...) You are right! The motors presented a challenge. There is one approach that could be taken, that is to build the motor for the head pivot, inside the head. Thereby collapsing the size of the neck. The trade off is that the head would have been (...) (19 years ago, 5-Feb-07, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Contributor Agreement License details - updated version

(...) That is not a fair analogy. Arguably POVray (or ldglite or ldview) is the chisel but the parts are a necessary part of the final work. There is no way to use a typical LDraw file without the parts library to render a scene. (...) You haven't (...) (19 years ago, 5-Feb-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)
