Re: Rock Crawling

So . . . I've been lurking in your club's newsgroup lately and am wondering if this rock crawling challenge will be at BrickWorld for sure. Are there other robotics events planned? (19 years ago, 10-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: Aliens Style APC

(...) Magnus, Thanks for the comments. You can squish 15 troops inside plus the driver and gunner in the seat shown. If you're really into the harsh reality of militaristic economics, you can get about 22, maybe 23 tops in there ;-) Cheers! ~ Paul. (19 years ago, 10-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: Aliens Style APC

(...) Thanks Marco! The steering front and back are not connected. Would be a great idea though and totally possible. There's enough room under the vehicle with a slightly modified floor. And plus my son likes driving the vehicle sideways with both (...) (19 years ago, 10-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: Aliens Style APC

(...) Tim, I used the technic wheels from set 8842 from 1986. My dad bought me that set way back then and it was a favourite because it had steering that worked and a simplistic engine with moving piston when you pushed it along the floor. (...)   Re: Aliens Style APC

(...) Wolf, Yes I toyed with the idea of making it a few studs wider originally, but the scale of the vehicle looked out of place with the wheel diameter... and those are the only wheels in my collection (from 1980's technic set ;-) that would work.   Re: Very poor customer service from Lego Shop at Home

(...) I agree fully. My nephews picked out a couple small Bionicle sets, which I'm not at all interested in, for me this year (and last year actually), but I accepted them with a smile and a thanks. I didn't even return them to the store. To do (...) (19 years ago, 10-Jan-07, to lugnet.lego.direct) !

Re: Very poor customer service from Lego Shop at Home

(...) I think the claim from Lego that the set had been opened is also a possible cause for complaint. But while it may not have been opened by Gregory or his mother, you never know what happened to the package on the return trip. Otherwise, I (...)   Not eXactly C beta news (NBC)

I have released a new beta (b21) of NBC with built-in support for the Not eXactly C (NXC) programming language. The sourcecode and the Win32 binary are already up on the NBC website. The Mac OSX binary and Linux binary will be up later this evening. (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics)
