Actually, lowering the voltage would lower the current draw too with a constant load. Of course a motor is anything but a linear load, and it does tend to draw more current at slower rpm. In any case, you're not going to break it, since the 9v train (...) (25 years ago, 23-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

I went into Toys R Us in Reading today and they had a display of Droid Developer Kits for £89 each. When I tried to buy one, there was a long search in the warehouse followed by a prompt refund when they couldn't find any! They don't have a display (...) (25 years ago, 23-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)
