  Re: Mech Bay 11

(...) Well I did, I went back to take another look a couple of times to reflect. 75 bricks is 90 studs, if I'm reading my handy-dandy "Legometer" correcty. It looks at least that big in the photos. It looks to me like a Space Police II lock-up on a (...) (20 years ago, 22-Oct-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Northwest Artifact wins Best of Show at NWBrickCon 2006

(...) Thanks, Anne. I have no idea where this one will go. I've managed to get the Ferry Boat on display at a Maritime Museum; the Smith Tower fits okay in our living room; but the Totem is still an orphan. I'll keep looking. Wayne (20 years ago, 21-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

Re: LCD image editor for the NXT -- at LEGO Engineering.com

(...) Hmmm. Just created a simple image and uploaded it using the NXT explorer, but when I try to display it, nothing displays and syscall returns -122. Same program displays faceopen.ric ok, but curiously syscall returns -3 for that, even though (...) (20 years ago, 21-Oct-06, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

Re: The inevitable leap into 10-Wide Trains...

(...) Excellent Daniel! Nice to find a kindred spirit as I'm also an 8mm scale train builder (since 1996). (URL) I started from the other end - trains first, then scenery. I aim for the scale given by a LEGO track gauge of 37.8mm and real gauge of (...) (20 years ago, 21-Oct-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: NBC with NXT - crash!

(...) Settings shows FW 1.03, AVR 1.01, BC4 1.01, Build 2803060845 Diags window shows 01.1240/01.03 (...) Thanks John, but as you may have suspected, this program was going to be an example of how to use mutex variables in the NBC tutorial - this (...) (20 years ago, 21-Oct-06, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

  tool for patterned parts

I thought about a tool to easily author patterned parts. It should be used like quad2dat but with the following change: If a part is scanned with a scanner and the part is not flat it should be able to use the curvature of the part (that already has (...) (20 years ago, 21-Oct-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LCD image editor for the NXT -- at LEGO Engineering.com

(...) Just to give credit where credit is due.... The LCD editor was contributed to the site by one of the MDPs. It was passed on to us by LEGO Ed so we are missing the original author. But we will definitely find the original author to give proper (...) (20 years ago, 21-Oct-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Mech Bay 11

(...) Well. Your review is a lot better than previous ones. The comment about "could be a bit bigger" is pretty stupid though. And the rating system is as annoying as ever. Overall, 4 out of 10. (20 years ago, 21-Oct-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: LCD image editor for the NXT -- at LEGO Engineering.com

(...) nxtRICEdit is a utility written by Andreas Dreier. The lego engineering site does not make this clear. Andreas is working on an enhanced version of this editor to add support for some of the more advanced features of the RIC format. Some form (...)   Re: Mech Bay 11

This is a great mecha bay! Pros: The color is perfect and the two towers are very good. I also like the rails connecting them. Cons: The whole thing could be a bit bigger. Overall , 9 out of 10. (20 years ago, 21-Oct-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: NBC with NXT - crash!

(...) Running this program on my NXT does not cause mine to crash. Are you definitely running the 1.03 firmware? You can see the version using Settings|NXT Version on the NXT or from the Diagnostic window in BricxCC. My brick shows 01.1240/01.03 in (...) (20 years ago, 21-Oct-06, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)
