  Lego factory?

It doesn't appear that purchases of custom factory models can be made. I wanted to buy 10 more dark red walls for my town: (URL) Does anyone know what is up? Can this be part of moving production to other countries? Seems to early for that, no? (...) (20 years ago, 14-Jul-06, to lugnet.general)

Re: funny article from the Philly show

What wasn't mentioned in the article is that Lego plans to discontinue electric trains, and also that they are mostly sold on the internet. This will no doubt discourage parents from buying the sets for their kids. After all, there can be only so (...) (20 years ago, 14-Jul-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: TLGs wasteful box sizes?

From the very first basic sets of 1949, until 1965.... all Lego Basic Sets were nicely housed in flat boxes with all the elements displayed in checkerboard and zig-zag patterns. It was almost like opening a box of chocolates, with everything so (...) (20 years ago, 14-Jul-06, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: My First Classroom Use

  Re: reverse ploarity circut protection??

(...) A bridge may be the only solution, but you will loose 1.2v across the diodes generally. Although it needs work (and is incomplete) I wrote a tutorial on interfacing a simple LED with an RCX, which shows ways using a bridge, or just simply (...) (20 years ago, 14-Jul-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: reverse ploarity circut protection??

(...) Yes, though the things to think about are the voltage drop across the diodes or other devices and the amount of power required. If only low power devices were being driven, such as the IR chip on its own, a simple bridge rectifier made from (...) (20 years ago, 14-Jul-06, to lugnet.robotics, FTX)

(...) ... (...) Well, duh. This didn't give it away? "Oh, there's one more explanation for all this -- from my wife.   Re: How do you create a new VI for NXT-G?

(...) I don't know... yet. I think there are some further developments in the works on this however.   Re: Electric Compressor for Pneumatic Engines

(...) I have a car tyre air compressor with a variable pressure limiter, which is essential for LEGO pneumatics. It will nominally produce 250psi. I set the limiter to 20-25psi normally, perhaps 30psi for short periods. Note that you need a pressure (...) (20 years ago, 14-Jul-06, to lugnet.technic)
