Re: 7-Wide BNSF & TTX Intermodal Train & Crane

(...) How far does the IR sensor bulge stick out? Does the bulge make the baseplate exactly 7-wide? later, James Mathis (20 years ago, 29-Jun-06, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Another tram / light rail from Turin!

(...) Thank you Tim! You're right, the Manchester Metrolink has the same basics of the Turin version. Use it as base and, when you will have done it, send me a couple of pictures! Thanks! Luca (20 years ago, 29-Jun-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Arrivati i modelli Lego factory

(...) Innanzitutto ciao! (...) Personalmente l'open source è una buona cosa ma non mi esalta. Penso a parecchi campi dell'informatica in cui una tale politica non è auspicabile (es tutto ciò che riguarda la sicurezza, la gestione delle reti etc.). (...)   Re: Have you got your NXT yet?

(...) Exactly. You see, you may have been waiting for the RCX for many years: without proper documentation, you have no data to extrapolate from. Furthermore there is the statistical nature of the shipping process to consider, so there are (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jun-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Have you got your NXT yet?

(...) What exactly seems to be the problem? Can you connect to the NXT from the programming environment? (...) Note that if you don't want the "Try Me" and on-brick programming options, these can all be deleted freeing up some room. From the memory (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jun-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: LDD Signal Box for Save 9V Trains Contest (and John Neal)

(...) Tasty, Jason:-d Since my post (almost 4 years ago???) when I deeply coveted your dark gray low corner slopes, I made it a mission to acquire some of my own.   Pictures on set reference pages broken?

Since the switchover, I have not been able to see the pictures on the set reference pages, just a little red x box that says zoom... Right click to the show picture option won't bring them up either. I'm still running 98se. Is this a known issue? (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jun-06, to lugnet.general)

Re: LDD to LDRAW Conversion Fixes

(...) Jason, Thanks for figuring out the 1x1x2/3 slope thing. It was driving me nuts. Also, I think you are right. Even though it would be very convenient to re-publish the ldraw.xml file, it is probably safest not to. Thanks for putting this all (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

Re: Have you got your NXT yet?

(...) I'm fairly pleased with that as well, although now I've got big dreams of how to really use it (and then, I'll probably be complaining about how it doesn't have sub-0.1° resolution :-). (...)   Avoiding confirmation via e-mail

Hi all, Is it possible to avoid e-mail confirmation when I send a message via NNTP? Often I use slrn via ssh, and read the e-mails (or open an internet page) to confirm my posts is so annoying. Thanks (and excuse me for my bad English) (20 years ago, 29-Jun-06, to lugnet.people.newbie)

Apologies to anyone who didn't follow this post. It always bugs me when people post technical stuff with no explanation, and just expect everyone to 'get it'. In this case, a lot of people aren't going to be familiar with XML files, so here's a (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad.ldd)
