Re: Have you got your NXT yet?

Got 4 a few days ago and gave a couple of kits to my advanced robot kids at our summer camps. Actually, they were quite underwhelmed. They didn't like the new motor structure and felt instructions weren't correct and prefer the Mindstorms old (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jun-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Have you got your NXT yet?

(...) I been tinkering with mine for the past few hours. Bluetooth isn't functioning very well with mine. Most likely operator error. I thought it had more memory than it does. I had a hard time programming in more than four sound bites at a time. (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jun-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Have you got your NXT yet?

(...) Oh nooooo!!!! The Heisenberg Uncertaintanty Principle???? Hmmm HUP, almost sounds like a hoax. Wink.   Re: LDD to LDRAW Conversion Fixes

(...) I wasn't sure of the copyright position; the original file is LEGO's property, even if it is freely distributed. That's why I only posted the ammendments.   Re: 7-Wide BNSF & TTX Intermodal Train & Crane

(...) I'm ignoring the IR bulge, as well. But, here is another try at it: (URL) fence method probably has interference with the fact that a stud height would interfer-- it doesn't in CAD, but we remember that studs are greater than 1/2 plate thick, (...)   Re: Have you got your NXT yet?

(...) Don't forget the Heisenberg Uncertaintanty Principle. You know the amount of time that passed during which the NXT or RCX didn't arrive, but you can't simultaneously know where it didn't arrive. Perhaps it's on your porch right now, but you'll (...) A way to overcome the problem of the offset studs on top of the brackets would be placing a (URL) Slope 65 2 x 2 x 2 Smooth without Bottom Tube> over each of them (vertical face outwards) With friendly greetings, M. Moolhuysen. (20 years ago, 28-Jun-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Have you got your NXT yet?

(...) Hmmm, now that has just confused me into thinking about it some more.... Since the NXT is just out now, and the RCX has been out for a very long time... I guess my conclusion of them both strangely being the same was jumped to, at much too (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jun-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: k, I'll probably see it...

Speaking of movies... Everyone here NEEDS to see Tokyo Drift. I've seen it twice already and I want to go at least 1 or 2 more times. IT IS AWESOME. Iain (20 years ago, 28-Jun-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: 7-Wide BNSF & TTX Intermodal Train & Crane

(...) Hi David, I've actually tried something similar to that before but didn't like the studs. The other problem with it is that it may not work since real studs are a little taller than half a plate. The best I've come up with so far is something (...) (...) Tim, Here is an idea I just put together. It uses many of the 1x2-2x2 Brackets. (URL) guess the only downside is that you have studs running the length of the train. Then again it does give it a nice textured look. (URL) (20 years ago, 28-Jun-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
