(20 years ago, 16-May-06, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

  Re: RCX Virus?

Hello Jonathan, (...) No, it is extremely improbable! Here is the only "virus" for RCX I know: (URL) it requires some cooperation so that it can spread! (...) I don't think so. Did you have very heavy load on all three motor outputs? if so, there is (...) (20 years ago, 16-May-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: RCX Virus?

(...) Some more info about the problem: My RCX is 2.0 and I bought it 4-5 years ago. It's been on the shelf for a while (2-3 months) and I've always used rechargeable batteries. The ones I'm using now are 2000mA NiMH. I installed the firmware both (...) (20 years ago, 16-May-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Review of 7898 Cargo Train Deluxe available on ILTCO.org

Some follow-ups from the 7897 thread. There are 6 screws holding the motor together! There are either a "star" shaped driver or an Alan (hex driver) wrench. They are very small even too small for my reading glasses and a magnifying glass. So I tried (...) (20 years ago, 16-May-06, to lugnet.trains)

Got my first LEGO Factory 1.6 sets today and...

10 were Save 9v Train containers and all came in one Box (Hurray!) and al seem complete although I have not assembled them all yet. Each set came in its own baggie. 1 set was just a minifig with a billboard which you can see here... (URL) of 12 (...) (20 years ago, 16-May-06, to lugnet.general)

  Brisbane Train Show

(...) Except that I was stuck in BOS till saturday AM and had no time to do any of the research... It will have to wait till next week. (...) Good question. I will try to see if I can find some of those controllers and try that. (20 years ago, 16-May-06, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: RCX Virus?

(...) I think it is very doubtful. I have not heard of any actual evidence of an RCX virus. What software are you using? How old is the RCX? Are you using a Ver. 1.0 with A/C input?   RCX Virus?

I think I heard about something like this a while back. I recently built a "CNC Milling Machine" out of Lego. It's my first attempt so it's very rudimentary and doesn't look that nice. Once I made a small program to see how the machine worked, I (...) (20 years ago, 15-May-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Suggested New Primitive: 4-4cyl12.dat (was: More cylinder primitives wanted)

(...) I thought of that, but liked the idea of more descriptive names, like the rect*.dat series. The '1' would in this case stand for number of discs, and '2' for number of edges.
