  Re: Viking Longship

(...) Thanks, Mark! I've done a few vessels with real cloth sails, and I have to say that the paper is better looking, easier to work with, and holds its shape better. (...) Absolutely! Probably not while under sail though. ;-) Cheers Richie Dulin (20 years ago, 12-Apr-06, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: Questions about fan involvement with TLC

(...) Well then, I sit corrected on the "mis/dis" trust phrase. If you want to argue semantics, then might I suggest moving this to .debate. In the mean time, both YOU and Jeff, came out guns blazing, trying your darnedest to make sure you set "us" (...) (20 years ago, 12-Apr-06, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Programming the RCX

(...) While I've tinkered a tiny bit with alternate firmwares (legOS and the Swan firmware) I almost exclusively use NQC. Considering the types of robots you're likely to build, there really are few situations where you need more power and speed (...) (20 years ago, 12-Apr-06, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

Re: Request for info on the Control Lab Interface.

(...) Thanks for your information! I was also sent via email a very helpful page: (URL) His (URL) Research Page> has source code, which was also helpful.   Re: My Second Original Mech

Hi Ken. If you are trying for the feminine look I've got a few suggestions. Taper the waist, maybe get rid of those two-sided slopes. You could also use those slopes to make the mecha breasts. Also you need to make slimmer hands. Maybe use droid (...) (20 years ago, 12-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: My Second Original Mech

Ok Let's try this again. (URL)Assassin406>> Since, as someone pointed out, the mech doesn't look very feminine I've decided to rename it and post some better pictures. (...) I could easily be misremembering the application, it was a while ago, but I do seem to recall some questions about the time that would be spent doing various things. (20 years ago, 11-Apr-06, to lugnet.general)

Re: Questions about fan involvement with TLC

(...) Hi, this is a very interesting discussion! Concerning the Ambassadors I have heard that they had 1500 emails in only one season. If you have to read (and partly answer) 1500 e-mails, this will keep you busy enough to stay out of other forums. (...) (20 years ago, 11-Apr-06, to lugnet.general)

Re: MDP (was: Questions about fan involvement with TLC)

(...) Well unfortunately there was no "What are your current personal commitments" question on the application, so LEGO had no way to evaluate that information. Surely it makes more sense, and is much easier for the applicant to evaluate it, and (...) (20 years ago, 11-Apr-06, to lugnet.general)

(...) Berate you? Not me, at any rate, although I can't speak for anyone else. But I DO find it interesting how you hone in on just one point so often.
