Re: IRON MECHA - The Qwelder Mech - FOR SALE

(...) What you have there aren't examples. An example is where you refer to something that happened. eg. (URL) this> is an example of Rich Manzo's attitude to Lugnet, (URL) is an example of your flagrant disregard for the ToS and (URL) this> is an (...) (...) Check out (URL) .org.au> In mentioning this though, I realise the (URL) charter doesn't explicitly allow such postings, so there are probably many TOS violations in that group, not to mention the sidebar. Hmmmm. Maybe time to get the charter (...) (20 years ago, 29-Mar-06, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, FTX)

(...) Thanks for pointing out Chris' error. (...) I don't think that's possible. (20 years ago, 29-Mar-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) I finally had to go back and read the particular TOS. I had assumed that auction spam was flat-out forbidden; it appears that a group can in theory allow such posts (although I have no idea how this would be decided upon). (...) I think that's actually about 1100 lbs, not 1.1 lbs. But I could be wrong. That would be a pretty impresive mini sumo bot though, I gotta say. Can you fit it in a 10 inch cube per the trial rules? (without using neutronium plated parts, that (...) (20 years ago, 29-Mar-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) That's some amazingly creative stuff. I especially love the ghost crab but they're all great. The stacked canopies are very effective in the first vehicle, and I like how you used the plant pieces in the green mount. I'm going to be studying (...) (...) 1 pound is not enough. Official "Mini-Sumo" rules allow robots that are up to 500kg (1.1lbs). It's barely possible to make a Mini-Sumo with LEGO. That means using just 2 motors, 1 RCX, and a couple wedge pieces. 2lbs is a really good weight (...) (20 years ago, 29-Mar-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) That's always the problem. Then you look kind of stupid being the only person in the class. It's like the guy who made the giant mirror on the Mythbusters Greek Death Ray Revisit episode. Poor guy, not only was he the only person who attempted (...) (20 years ago, 29-Mar-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
