  Cybermaster Touch questions

Has anyone had "erratic" reading when multiplexing Cybermaster sensors? I am finding that with the SAME 3 sensors on the same wire, will change in "value" when I use different RCXen. THEN, when I put them back to the original RCX I get different (...) (20 years ago, 20-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: event driven vs. timing driven code...

(...) Yep Chris - it is a basic line follower type routine, with the only sneaky thing being that it always looks for the light staying the same or getting brighter (as it gets closer). If it looses the light in its FOV then it will reset an go back (...) (20 years ago, 20-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

This is a quick 1.5 meg avi video of the Bock transfer device. ZERO motors, 3 moving parts. 1 human hand for the test. (URL) (20 years ago, 20-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  my test platform.

Short video of my seeking. (URL) (1) (its 4.5 meg - taken with a cheap labview web cam. ) right now, I have a few things I need to over come. 1. Work on "squaring" up when bot finds T.O. on an angle. 2. make unit faster by getting rid of worm/24 (...) (20 years ago, 19-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: A Steamer with a Boiler that actually is Round

(...) WOW; excellent model, very well done! I've had a chance to see the real thing recently and your version definately does it justice. And it's nice to read how your MOC builds on where others went before you, the way this community keeps (...) (20 years ago, 19-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains)

I like the Space Symbol on the side and the train is cool too : ) (...) (20 years ago, 19-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.space)

  Re: Motor Analysis

(...) I use the LEGO speedometer (5206) to find matching motors for my robotics classes. Works reasonably well. Fast and easy. Regards, Jutta Rossmaier (20 years ago, 19-Feb-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Replacement Wire

(...) it's perfectly safe to use and model railroaders used it quite a bit in the 50's however i would suggest using braided wire instead of solid core. from what i'm told braided wire has less DC voltage loss "or was it less resistance" over a (...) (20 years ago, 19-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains)

Rob Antonishen wrote: ing the state. Works OK, but you can still (...) COOL!!!! i might just have to do a short video myself. it would seem that the "spin" idea works well. Rob, do you have other code that keeps it looking for the light after your (...) (20 years ago, 19-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Replacement Wire

Hi, Does anyone know if phone or thermostat wire is a suitable or (more importantly) safe replacement for the 9v train wire? If not, anyone know what I can use? I am running 45 feet of track in a loop and I want to run additional wires from the (...) (20 years ago, 19-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains)

Re: A Steamer with a Boiler that actually is Round

(...) --SNIP-- (URL) Macaroni love> ;) Although not the first use of macaroni the combination of the curve bricks and macaroni to make 'circles' with studs at the top is quite neat. What I really like about this MOC is the 1x1x2/3 slopes at the top (...) (20 years ago, 19-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: event driven vs. timing driven code...

(...) When using events I tend to use a state model, and use the events to switch the state. So my main loop is: repeat forever if state 1 do stuff if state 2 do stuff if state 3 do stuff and then have eternal tasks defining the state. Works OK, but (...)   A Steamer with a Boiler that actually is Round

A Steamer with a Boiler that actually is Round ===...=== (URL) Macaroni bricks seem like a good choice for modelling the boiler of a steamer, except that it isn't obvious how to fasten the domes and stuff that are supposed to be on top of it.   Re: LEGO Gortons' Fisherman, coming to a supermarket near you

(...) Michael: If this were a LEGO fan-related event, what you've suggested would be fine... but in this case I don't think it would be a good idea.
