  Re: OT - JLUG

(...) No clue. It disappeared around 4-5 hours ago I think. Don't think it's much cause for concern though.... I mean it's JLUG! Who wants to read 10 page-long threads with nothing but your posts in them anyways.... Legoswami (20 years ago, 11-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

First LEGOH meeting Thursday February 16th

Hamiltonians (and those located around the Hamilton Wentworth/Golden Horseshoe area), The first ever official LEGOH meeting will be (surprise) at my place this upcoming Thursday! I'm thinking anytime after 7 ('cause that'll give me enuf time to get (...) (20 years ago, 11-Feb-06, to lugnet.loc.ca.on.ham)

  Re: Layout of Jonathan Lopes

(...) Simply WOW! I never realized his layout was that large. There are some great details. I love the garbage truck and the 13plate tall windows. The horizontal railing on the second road bridge is another great idea as well as the city salt truck. (...) (20 years ago, 11-Feb-06, to lugnet.town, lugnet.trains)

  Re: MDP Status

(...) This may or may not be true but I recall what the confirmation letter from Lego said when I registered: "In February you will be contacted by a representative from LEGO Shop At Home. At that time they will tell you whether you are eligible to (...) (20 years ago, 11-Feb-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: IRON MECHA Results!

(...) Thanks. I had some requests to see the unaltered pics of the Vore Del Mecha, though that's sort of like seeing a picture of a guy in an Alien suit sipping coffee before the camera rolls. ;-) It's just not scary without the flashing strobes and (...)   Re: The Max

(...) Nice! Very heavy-duty look, and I like how the black-and-gray scheme turned out. Having the reverse-knee armor plating mounted on a separate set of click-hinges is an inventive way of armoring-up those Exo-Force joints. I had a look at the (...)   Layout of Jonathan Lopes

I got a chance to meet up with Jonathan last night and he took me back to his place... not to look at his etchings but rather at his town/train layout. I took lots of pictures.   Re: MDP Status

(...) I believe none have been selected at this time (especially considering Justin's post, thanks btw!). Moreover, I think some of the very informative MUPs or friendly local LEGO rep would say something like, "the MDP selection process is over." (...) (20 years ago, 11-Feb-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Question about Dora the Explorer duplo sets

(...) G'day, I think you're talking about 7330: Dora's treasure island (same price as ute set.) I also think set 7332 wasn't available in Aus (7331 and 7333 were from memory.) I hope this helps, Benjamin Whytcross (20 years ago, 11-Feb-06, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: IRON MECHA Results!

For what it's worth, I think Brian Cooper's Bandolero was my favourite right from the start. The story was lost a little on me since I don't hardly speak a word of Spanish. I am grateful for the recently posted unedited shots of the finished mech. (...) (20 years ago, 11-Feb-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: MDP Status

(...) You realize that this probably means the 100 have already been selected. They probably can't talk because they are under NDA. -Benton (20 years ago, 11-Feb-06, to lugnet.robotics)

my thoughts on the 2006 line so far

This is based on what Brickset lists under "2006" Lego really needs to make less moulds and in particular, less new moulds. They keep making new moulds for sets instead of re-using their old ones. Some lines are worse for this than others. Here is (...) (20 years ago, 11-Feb-06, to lugnet.general)

  Re: NEIRG

(...) I sent in entries for John, Steve, Brian, and Kerby last night. Between the 5 of us I think there are 15 robots for the competition...not to mention the 3T display. Brian - are you planning to stay at my house on Friday night? I believe Steve, (...) (20 years ago, 10-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)
