Re: Specials at K-Mart and Big W

Yeah, Tom I think it does. Her name is Rhonda Weego. She is very proper by day, but likes to swing at night. <ducks wiffle bat, runs> ;John (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.au.wa.per, lugnet.off-topic.fun, lugnet.off-topic.pun)

  Re: Eclipse ideas

(...) I guess you could use a light sensor, and then turn the sensor slightly left and right, to determine where the light is sharpest. When its dark you should turn the sensor to the east and wait for the sun to raise. This might work when the sun (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Has anybody noticed... (Space themes)

I would think the UFOR was, because it had a decent selection of parts, and the theme did fit pretty well into others. That was the last one for me, anyway. Scott Sanburn (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: 1857's, (remember those!), £7.85!!!!!!!!

I forgot to thank you, Richard. My local Tesco had 6 of the 1857s, so I took 4 of them. (950 pieces for £7.85 is such good value). I also noticed that they had 2 of the new road sign sets at £2.49 each, so I took those too. The blue Technic (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Two decades past...

David, I can't stand teenagers then and I still can't stand them today. I did not like my teen years and I am glad I am past them. It's a maturity issue, mostly, and also I am a strange cracker or brick :) anyway. When I was eighteen, I went to (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

  Get together

I'd like to have another get together in the Triangle. I can host again, or we can go someplace new. The weekends of August 20-22 or August 27-29 would be ideal, but many week nights would work also. (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.us.nc.ral, lugnet.loc.us.nc.dur, lugnet.loc.us.nc)

  RE: Eclipse ideas

While this suggestion will track the sun in right ascension (more or less), a further challenge is to craft the tracking mechanism to follow the sun's apparent annual figure '8' motion in declination as it travels along the analemma (see (URL) more (...)   KAPAs first holiday auction

Hi Lugnet! Just finished some two weeks vacation in which I hunted down some tiny little toy stores here in Germany. The results of this tour are quite impressive and I decided to auction those sets I am not interested in / I cannot afford right (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: De Bouwsteen club

(...) That's exactly how I see it, too, except for one thing: it's that "at least until" part that makes me really nervous. What happens when there -are- dozens of clubs around? This could be as soon as 6 months from now. Do we delete or move groups (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.nl, lugnet.admin.general)

  Sensors

Hi! I have just started to really get into the whole RCX/sensors thing! I've started on some more sophistocated sensors, and wonder if anyone else out there is interested: #1 - Ultrasonic ranging sensor electrically compatible with the light sensor (...)   RE: help me spend some money!

(...) Jim, assume you cared enough to have already read these books...they really are quite good, aren't they? Thanks for correcting my initial post... Cheers, Ralph (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Invitation to my new train site

(...) Just some friendly advise, It would be a good idea to capitlize the word LEGO on your site. I also hope that you capitlized the word LEGO in your letter you sent. Dave (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

Re: ***RCX BRICK VERSIONS***(RIS 1.5 tie in)

After talking to lego to get the DDK software to work, unsussefully might I add, but I did get some info regarding the RIS 1.5 out of the guy. Turns out the RCX will not be updated, it is just software updating. Didn't get much about the parts of (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: brictionary request

When a real database of parts does get off the ground (with the ability for people to contribute directly to it in an automated way), I'm almost certain that you (...)   Re: What are the most valuable Service Packs?

Actually, Gary, I think that they may well be the same as those used in the Lego train Line during the same era. These two pictures seem to confirm that at least the yellow and black parts are the same; I suspect the red one is also: (URL) even (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)
