(...) of (...) -I got one of my micromotors in the lovely and highly-recommended Space Shuttle (8480). I got the other one in a System/Space/UFO kit, Interstellar Starfighter (6979). The latter has no gears that I recall; stick with the Space (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Let me elaborate....it includes a fiber optic unit, a battery box, a micro motor, an old style 9V motor, 2 electric switches, 4 wires ( 2 long, 2 short), and a bunch of beams, and gears, and pegs oh my! Well worth it ( in my mind). <<...>> (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Each peg has a connection to each wire to the motor (see the Lego patent for how this works in any orientation). So, depending on exactly which connections you (...) I doubt this pack is really all that rare, but one of my favorites is the 5071 Large Wheel Set. This set contains two red locomotive wheelsets of the style that comes in the 7750 12V Electric Steam Locomotive (and as far as I know, only in the (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

(...) The trick would be getting the gear ratio and timing right. You need to step the rotation speed down to 1 rotation every 24 hours, to equate to the sidereal motion.
