Re: [rtlToronto] rtlToronto20 Draft Rules Posted

(...) Hey - I took a 2x4 to the head due to my own stupidity in Balance of Power and while painful, do not consider such an incident as violent (so my judgement of violent may be a bit skewed). That is why I wanted to get a ruling on the definition (...) (20 years ago, 23-Nov-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Ahh - you mean these: (URL) Ahhhhh! I get it. I wonder if I have some of those parts. Whew- I was working up a sweat trying to explain it there... danny (20 years ago, 23-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Mecha: The Cub

(...) Thanks, I know you were asking Bryce, I was able to grab the link at the time. Those white "brushes" are Mini-fig epaulettes. You know the thingies that go on the mini-fig's shoulders. (...)   Re: What the? Hydraulics

Vineet, if I have been following the threads properly- the breakthrough that may allow the use of hydraulics with Lego penumatic components is the set up which takes out the implicit forth port so you dont get squirting oil from your creations.   Re: System to allow pressure and vacuum for piston at the same time

(...) Thank you. (...) Well we must agree that the switch solution is a bit gangly. I'd like to work on a more compact solution before I bother with the engine. When simply run on compressed air, the sequencer cycled faster than I would have (...) (20 years ago, 23-Nov-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: What the? Hydraulics

(...) Hydraulics and pneumatics are similar. Pneumatics uses air, which is a gas and can be compressed. Air pressure difference is what makes pneumatics work. Hydraulics uses fluids which compresses a little, but not much compared to gasses. Both (...) (20 years ago, 23-Nov-05, to lugnet.technic)

(...) <snip> (...) <snip> (...) <snip> (...) <snip> (...) Wow! Great stuff! But why hypothetical? Would have loved to see the running engine and how it compares with the traditional ones using just compressed air, which was the original question. (...) (20 years ago, 22-Nov-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: New Mecha: The Cub

(...) Well you are breaking the mould I suppose. Not that I didnt appretiate your mecha in the first place. Dont want to give you a big head or anything, but it was basically Jama that turned me on to .mecha.. (...) It would be nice to have (...) (20 years ago, 22-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) I guess it makes sence that way you know when a robot is ready to accept bricks. (...) You can try grabbing it and not letting go until brick is transfered. (But that can cause trouble with the law. ;) Vitali (20 years ago, 22-Nov-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
