Weight (or mass, for the engineers out there) would be another distinguishing characteristic. Thickness would be another, but I expect it would be a tough one to measure with Legos. Sounds like your design may have to distinguish more than one (...) (25 years ago, 10-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

It's the black door that comes in the Bandit's Secert Hideout (URL) sure it comes in some other sets but that's the first one I thought of. It also comes in pink in a paradisa set Cabana Beach (URL) I think a blue one in the Guarded Inn. What other (...) (25 years ago, 10-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

If i remember correctly, Modulex bricks *do* have a 1 to 1 ratio. They were designed by TLG later than the basic LEGO bricks, so this *suggests* TLG retrospectively would have preferred the simpler ratio for the LEGO system as well, but were (...) (25 years ago, 10-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

Most of the sets were available in the UK, but only for a short time while the World Cup was on. In fact, TRU in Preston still has a whole bunch of the starter sets (the ones with the football pitch baseplates) - sadly going at full price. If anyone (...)
