  site update

Not much new stuff, but I have added an events page, which currently houses Justin's write up on his trip to Brickfest. Please email me if you have a photo gallery that is not linked on our photo page, or if your member information has changed in (...) (21 years ago, 8-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.us.lugola)

  Re: It's here.

Thats a great model on two levels. It looks great and has SO many innovative design solutions. I really like the way you did the curved grill in the roof (and the the small one at the other end too) The sideways chassis give a completely different (...)   Re: New Faction: The Bonktrons are coming.

(...) A fair question... Had the maker created his phallic conveyance for purely personal..er...gratification then why post it? Presumably to share his mischievous imagination with like-minded individuals. I for one chuckled heartily at it and look (...) (21 years ago, 8-Sep-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Castle Under Siege (Formaly Known As The Royal Knight's Castle)

Sorry about the delay, but I had a lot of things to do, and it took a while to get the pictures, edit them and rename them, and then upload them. I had difficulty getting exactly what I wanted, it is an inexpensive camera, and close ups just don’t (...) (21 years ago, 8-Sep-05, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Battery voltage

(...) There are two places you could have downloaded the BrickOS stuff from. 1) The NQC site, which has everything (like the kernal) pre-built. 2) The BrickOS site, where YOU need to build everything. If you did #1, it may be hard for you to rebuild (...) (21 years ago, 8-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

Re: New Faction: The Bonktrons are coming.

I can't tell if I should be disgusted or laughing. I'll go with laughing. The body is a beautiful thing, so why not use it as a model? Overall, a creative and original MOC, I applaud you for that. Only criticism: perhaps a brown or dark tan should (...) (21 years ago, 8-Sep-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Okay, maybe not a real MOC, but close enough

(...) Actually, I think a brick tattoo would be an excellent way to bring up one's lego hobby with a chick. But then, I'm a geek, so whatdoiknow. -Jason (21 years ago, 8-Sep-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Barcodes & error detection

(...) Maybe by having every barcode begin and end with the same 'prefix' and 'suffix' sequence (prefix <> suffix)? It takes more bits, but if you manage to read the prefix and the suffix correctly (as you know what they should be) you could be (...) (21 years ago, 8-Sep-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Battery voltage

(...) your right. It is something mainly geared to the rcx gear heads. I'm sure Calum would LOVE IT. we all know how he HATES power cords.   Re: Battery voltage

(...) I don't have a problem doing that, however, I suspect very few people will find it useful. First, most people who understand how to use the code, won't have a use for it. (don't need to talk to RCXs with standard firmware) Second, most people (...) (21 years ago, 8-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: Barcodes & error detection

(...) I'll have to take some small photos and post them to my Brickshelf account, and I should really include seom response curves from the various lightsensors so you can "see" what the sensor is seeing during a barcode read. (...) Hmmm. I'm not (...) (21 years ago, 8-Sep-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Barcodes & error detection

(...) Oh. I'd not thought of that at all. At those angles, the shroud design and the size of the "window" the light sensor can see through get to be tougher problems. (...) It may be because a good retroreflector won't work in this situation - the (...) (21 years ago, 8-Sep-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Barcodes & error detection

(...) Gus uses two ight sensors, one to follow the (left edge) of a black line on a white background, and a seperate light sensor on an "outrigger" to read the barcodes. There is no light brick, but instead both use the light sensor itself to supply (...) (21 years ago, 8-Sep-05, to lugnet.robotics)
