  RE: Power steering for 8448

You should be able to get away with just a single rotation sensor. When you power up the RCX, you will not know the position of the steering. Now turn it one way until the rotation stops. You are now at the end point, and know the position of the (...) (25 years ago, 9-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Power steering for 8448

I don't have the 8448 or the RCX for that matter but I may have a partial solution for you. I've found that steering is a perfect application for the Micro Motor (part # 5119). The motor is very small but provides a surprising amount of torque. It (...) (25 years ago, 9-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  RE: USB->serial adapter for IR-tower

(...) I have an Entrega splitter which adds two serials, a parallel, and four USB's, and it does that kind of stuff just fine. Very cool. I've run Ethernet (10BaseT), my printer, IR, and many other things through it. The best part: the fact that it (...) (25 years ago, 9-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Juicy-Juice Promotion

On a can of Juicy-Juice we got at a grocery store yesterday was an offer for a small LEGO set. Since we haven't opened the can yet I haven't peeled off the label. It appears to be a Duplo set from the small picture but it has what appears to be a (...) (25 years ago, 9-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

  Kellogg's LEGO Promotion

Opened up a new box of Corn Flakes this morning and noticed a little blurb on the box: Check inside for a game piece where you could win a preassembled model of either Tony the Tiger or Toucan Sam. Of course, mine was not a winner! I was at the (...) (25 years ago, 9-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

To get on their list simply ask them at the counter. They have a form you fill out. Mike - mike_walsh@mindspring.com (URL) I was at the Morrisville mall today looking for shoes and ventured into the KB Outlet. You certainly got all of the good (...)   WTT: my gray road plates for your track

I have several new sets of the straight and cross road plates # 6311 & #6313. I would like to trade for train track. I would prefer straight track. I'm willing to trade three road pates for 8 pieces of track, new or used but in good condition. (...) (25 years ago, 9-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Wow--I just looked at the pictures you linked to here, and it's a much more elegant solution than mine--I could probably keep my bodywork too. Karen (...) (25 years ago, 9-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: power steering for new supercar 8448--I did it

Congradulations, Your solution to steering sounds much simpler and direct than my design. Hope you can take a picture so we can see it. Quite a challenge. right? Bob Fay Karen Gold <kjgpinelake@yahoo.com> wrote in message (...) (25 years ago, 9-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)
