Re: Slashdot: New Independent Lego Journal Launches

Joe, Congratulations on this really fine piece of work. The magazine is really well put together, the ads are tasteful, and it generally shines like a professional did the work. BTW, I did not know Allen Bedford and NoStarch teamed up for another (...) (21 years ago, 25-Jun-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  A Lurker Converted

Greeting fellow mecha builders, This being my first post, please let me introduce myself. I have been lurking on lugnet for about a year now. Just recently I began to look into the world of mecha. I had seen many of Eric Sophie's MOCs when cruising (...) (21 years ago, 25-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Spice Rack

The Spice Rack is actually really neat, sturdy, practical, modular (so easy to add to) and looks down-right sexy. It has passed the 'brush-past' test and the 'cooking accessibility' test. Also, between the rack, Lego Salt 'n' Pepper and the Lego (...) (21 years ago, 25-Jun-05, to lugnet.storage)

Re: An Idea for new Mindstorm

(...) I have to agree. If you don't want to build programmable robots, why not just build a motorized model with a motor and battery box. The whole point of Mindstorms, as I see it, is that you "add" programming to a structure of Lego elements to (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jun-05, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: An Idea for new Mindstorm

(...) The Blue Scout can be programmed just like the RCX - you can use NQC and send programs to it in exactly the same way with the IR tower. The main difference is that the Scout has less memory - so only small programs will fit. (...) I'm *very* (...) (21 years ago, 25-Jun-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Brikwars?

(...) While I would be glad to help should somthing take shape I have never even attended a big game and have only a simplistict understanging of the rules so I probably can't be of that much utility actual game wise.   Re: Scraping cowcatcher on 10133

(...) That was me - but on brickish.org, not here. I found it's a real problem at times. On a couple of occasions, my 10133 has come a real cropper and derailed causing absolute carnage. For the most part though, it just squeaks a bit here and (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jun-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: An Idea for new Mindstorm

Re: Is Lego the most complex collectible toy of all time?

(...) Sorry Anders, that's almost as hard to pronounce as my town (just outside Coburg, Bavaria, Germany) called "Mönchröden" (Monks of the River Röden), named for the 875 year old abbey in the middle of the town (I was baptised there). Gary Istok (21 years ago, 24-Jun-05, to lugnet.general)
