Hello, according to informations that brickOS is the most powerfull of all Mindstroms OS's, I have tried to start it. I work with a Linux 2.6 (Fedora Core 3). I have compiled it with rcx-egcs cross compiler C and C++ cross compilers (version 1.1.2) (...) (21 years ago, 19-Jun-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Review of Technic 8421 xxl Mabile crane

As a certified crane/aerial device inspector and heavy equipment technician I love Lego technic construction machinery especially the cranes. When I saw the previews of 8421 I was excited but assumed I would have to wait ontil S@H got it in august. (...) (21 years ago, 19-Jun-05, to lugnet.reviews)

  Summary: MUGS 2005-4

(URL) A good turn out for our meeting on Saturday, with most of the regulars plus a couple of not-so-regulars attending. There was a pretty spacey feel about this meeting, but also of note was (URL) Kane's house>, based on a design by (URL) Kevin (...) (21 years ago, 19-Jun-05, to lugnet.loc.au.vic.mel, FTX)

  M>ltc at Morwell, June 11-13

M>ltc displayed our current layout at the Latrobe Valley Train Show on June 11-13. All went pretty well, and as it was the same layout as we (URL) displayed at Pakenham>, I decided not to take pics of our layout. But for those interested, I've (...)   Re: 8421 first impressions

(...) I just finished mine as well. It is quite an incredible set to build and operate. I like how the cable spools itself in and out with the boom extension/retract though sometimes one seems to outrun the other. With the boom up and extended I (...) (21 years ago, 19-Jun-05, to lugnet.technic)

  The Classic-Space.com Concept Collection

The last time I mentioned my inspirational concept art collection here on LUGNET, it was on a different server, a different URL, and much smaller, so I feel it appropriate to mention it again.   Re: 8421 first impressions

Well, I just finished building this set and all I can say is WOW!! This supplants the space shuttle set as the ultimate technic building set in my humble opinion. The whole body section of the vehicle is chocked full of mechanisms. There's (...) (21 years ago, 19-Jun-05, to lugnet.technic)

DUH, always good to include set number, 1195 quaker oats promo, has 2 figures and 2 vehicles, so not a bad polybag (21 years ago, 19-Jun-05, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: My first Vig! Willy Wonka

(...) I absolutely love it, and as a fan of Tim Burton I am also really looking forward to the movie. Modifying the lego for the hair was a good call because Willy Wonker would not have looked so effective without either the hat or the hair. I (...)   My first Vig! Willy Wonka

Flemish Text on old Belgian Lego boxes from 1950's.

I also posted this in the local Belgian newsgroup... From 1955-58 Lego boxes had the text on the outside in the local language. Of course there were only 8 Lego countries by 1958. And each country had "Lego System of Play" in the local languages. (...) (21 years ago, 18-Jun-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.be)
