I also posted this in the local Belgian newsgroup...
From 1955-58 Lego boxes had the text on the outside in the local language. Of
course there were only 8 Lego countries by 1958. And each country had "Lego
System of Play" in the local languages. Switzerland and Belgium had 2 languages
(German & French) and (Flemish & French) respectively.
I have a 1955-58 (box style) Belgian spare parts pack that says:
"Systeem bij het Spel".
But I also have a 1958 Belgian spare parts pack that says:
"Systeem in het Spel".
What is the difference in what this means? Or do they both mean the same thing?
It is interesting to note that the Dutch parts packs of the same era used only
"Systeem in het Spel".
Also, these Belgian sets also say: "Du System dans le jeu".
