lookinf for info on 1/16th offset building techniques.

I seem to recall a post on Lugnet that had bricks which went in offset increments of 1/16th sized steps, but I can't find the link on lugnet. Does anyone have information and pictures of such offset step building sizes? Cheers ... Geoffrey Hyde (21 years ago, 13-May-05, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Are these sets real?

Re: best way to support elevated plates?

(...) For 1000Steineland 2003 Klaas Meijaard and myself built a huge pirate layout, that had to cover up 3 train tracks. We used a combination of brick+technic framework (all 2*4 and 2*8 bricks, and technic 1*16's for long beams across) with loads (...) (21 years ago, 13-May-05, to lugnet.trains)

  10030 ISD in David Jones

Hi Folks, Just came back from a browse of the Melbourne CBD David Jones and was surprised to find a solitary 10030 Imperial Star Destroyer. Price was 399.95 but with LEGO currently 20% off, I picked it up for $319.96. I didn't ask if they had (...) (21 years ago, 13-May-05, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Re: 8 Wide LEGO Thomas! (pics)

(...) What happened since? (...) Well, the success of the series prompted the major motion picture release, which could rightly be called a "world stage". I realize that the books have been around a looong time. But as actual toys, Thomas, it seems (...) (21 years ago, 13-May-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.duplo, FTX)

(...) If you have lots of spare 2x4 bricks, then you can use the same technique we used at the 2002 GETS show: (URL) does use *lots* of 2x4 brick, and a few others, and you have to be quite careful to not leave large fractures in the structure, but (...)   Re: Original vs. Copy: Printed Lego Items

(...) Oooops, just realised the catalog is probably colour, and all colour copiers are digital (AFAIK). So yes, you can probably tell with enough magnification. ROSCO (21 years ago, 13-May-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Original vs. Copy: Printed Lego Items

(...) Depends on the copier. Most cheaper modern copiers use a digital printer-style engine to generate the copies, so you will see the pixelation at high magnification. However older ones transferred the image non-digitally, and many newer (...) (21 years ago, 13-May-05, to lugnet.general)

Original vs. Copy: Printed Lego Items

(...) Ahem. Thomas the Tank Engine books and records (7" 45 RPM!) were very popular in Australia in the early 70s. So while the TV series may have propelled it onto the North American stage, that is not necessarily the world stage. ROSCO (21 years ago, 12-May-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.duplo, FTX)
