Help with redesigning a Boat Lock

For our current train layout I have attempted to create a working lift lock. Attempt 1: The lift lock project started about a year ago.   Re: 10170 TTX Intermodal Double-Stack Car Preview

(...) Random thought: Has anyone tried using Bionicle-style ball-and-socket joints as bogie attachments? My guess is that they would have enough friction to keep the stock from tilting over yet have the articulation to handle track unevenness as (...) (21 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: sharing chocolate

(...) Hi Teddy! No, though that would be cool! As is is, I'm going to have to paint goatees on plain minifig faces to make the grooms. All the ones I could find with goatees had 'anrgy eyes,' grimaces, snarls, or too much stubble! I've got the (...) (21 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.people.lgbt)

Re: 10170 TTX Intermodal Double-Stack Car Preview

(...) Jake, you answered my unmentioned question. I assumed selling 2 at a time was for the reason above, and selling 1 at a time would raise the per car price. So 2 at a time is great. Doing the math (2 end trucks, 1 center truck and connections) I (...) (21 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)
