| | | | | Re: Spider Tank

| (...) Yeah, I *might* have gotten a little carried away with the colorless color scheme. Now I'm wondering if I have the parts to do the back in dark red, sort of a black widow scheme. I do recommend the cockpit part, it gives you a great sharp (...) (21 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

| (...) I think most of my stuff winds up having a little "cute" content in it. I'd credit (blame?) the anime influence. BTW, I have to confess the wheels don't turn freely, so the model doesn't roll (they're wrapped around 1x1 cylinders). (21 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
| | | | | Re: Spider Tank
|
| (...) Yes, a true Shirow spider tank would never be without a pair of minigun claws. I'm glad I put in extra time on the nose-gun, though. You should have seen the inelegant chunk of crap I had as the first version. It didn't even pivot (...) (21 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
| | | | | Re: Spider Tank

| (...) Thanks for the compliments, Marco. The color scheme really worked itself out. I knew I had to use dark blay for the canopy and joints, I needed to use black for the wheel mountings in the lower legs, and I needed to use white for the half (...) (21 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

| (...) If you're going ahead with this, leave it open to anybody who wants to display a MOC in the "dark room". Lit up space, town, sculpture, train, whatever. It's all good. Adrian (21 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

| (...) You're talking about caged bearings. Caged bearings do have a higher coefficent of friction over non-caged bearings, but the friction is constant (in a normal bearing, the balls come into contact intermitently), the life is extended (...) It's only input is a phone modem (no ethernet port or wireless card), floppy drive, and CD ROm (and keyboard!). Since it is working now doing what I (...)
