  Re: Macaroni Brick Patterns

(...) Just by looking at it, I would say that the leftmost blue/yellow one has 32 macaroni bricks per individual loop. I just got a bunch of 1955-57 macaroni bricks from Europe that have the 2x4 macaroni bricks (half circle) as well as the 2x2 we (...) (21 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Late April Meeting - April 30th!!!

Some of you may have met Ray Quan (father) and Justin (son) at the last LUGOLA meeting in Santa Monica. Ray has generously offered to host an April meeting on April 30th from 12noon to 4pm. He has booked a clubhouse which opens onto an outdoor patio (...) (21 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.org.us.lugola)

  Re: Indy 500 Speedway

  Big Sydney Meet

Has anything further happened towards the big national sydney meet? If we dont have at least tentative details (especially the "when" part) soon, it starts to become harder for people traveling from interstate to get flights, places to stay etc (...) (21 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Question for the LSC. Blanks in file names legal?

(...) You might want to take a look at 2593.dat (including the author ;-). (In your defense, that's a really old file.) Having said that, most places in the parts library, backslash (\) is used as the delimiter in path names. However, there are some (...) (21 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Packing MOCs for Shipment - Suggestions?

(...) The bagging of components is good--so is bubble wrap. I'd also recommend using sheets of foam padding--they absorb impact, as well as providing "compartments" for your compartmentalized bags. Don't forget to pad all sides of the carton well (...) (21 years ago, 4-Apr-05, to lugnet.storage, FTX)

  Indy 500 Speedway

I'm getting close to completing this lil' project and I thought I would submit it to the discussion on compressionism. :-) Since the real track is 2.5 miles in length and sets on a 320 acre tract of land it was necessary to scale a few things down.   Re: Compressionism (D&RGW coach set)

(...) Sorry, that's what I meant, apologies if that wasn't clear. Steve's right though, you need to stop hassling people about their desires (and they need to stop hassling you about yours)... (21 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  8480 space shuttle

I have FINALLY finished modelling the 8480 space shuttle in LDraw :) Only taken about 30 hours! Anyway, the images and mpd are here: (URL) note, the mpd could be tidied up slightly, but is otherwise complete. Enjoy :) (21 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

  Etoys sale

Hi all, FYI, etoys.com has a Lego sale with 20-40% off regular prices. And there's no sales tax for shipments to California. And, if you order only Star Wars items, shipping is free also! They have many of the Lego Shop-at-Home exclusive sets like (...) (21 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: New Galactic Inquisition Mech.

I almost expected to see wood timbers and gears on the inside, and maybe peasants running in wheels to provide power. :-) But it's high tech medieval. The shaping of the brick/slope/rounded armor is great, and the knightly details: perforated mask, (...) (21 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament: Judge Deborah

(...) Yeah, I don't know what it says about me as a person, but I'm more upset at the sight of mutilated Lego than I am at the idea of someone getting killed violently in his sleep. By the way, I love the backward-helmet look here...I don't think it (...) (21 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)
