  Design Update (was Re: Preview ALCO RS-1 A. T. & S. F.)

(...) The design of this illustrated step book is complete. (...) Looks like the (URL) new slope brick curved top 1x3x1 piece> is available in black. The new for 2005 set 8648 Buzz Saw racer, US$10, has two of them. Ouch! This RS-1 locomotive uses (...) (21 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Packing MOCs for Shipment - Suggestions?

(...) The bagging of components is good--so is bubble wrap. I'd also recommend using sheets of foam padding--they absorb impact, as well as providing "compartments" for your compartmentalized bags. Don't forget to pad all sides of the carton well (...) (21 years ago, 4-Apr-05, to lugnet.storage, FTX)

  Indy 500 Speedway

I'm getting close to completing this lil' project and I thought I would submit it to the discussion on compressionism. :-) Since the real track is 2.5 miles in length and sets on a 320 acre tract of land it was necessary to scale a few things down. (...) (21 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town)

  Re: Macaroni Brick Patterns

(URL) Same design concept> as what I've done with the (URL) spindled fence> but with more practical uses. If I've got a lot more fences, I could certainly try to use your designs. AC (21 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Compressionism (D&RGW coach set)

(...) Sorry, that's what I meant, apologies if that wasn't clear. Steve's right though, you need to stop hassling people about their desires (and they need to stop hassling you about yours)... (21 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  8480 space shuttle

I have FINALLY finished modelling the 8480 space shuttle in LDraw :) Only taken about 30 hours! Anyway, the images and mpd are here: (URL) note, the mpd could be tidied up slightly, but is otherwise complete. Enjoy :) (21 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

  Etoys sale

Hi all, FYI, etoys.com has a Lego sale with 20-40% off regular prices. And there's no sales tax for shipments to California. And, if you order only Star Wars items, shipping is free also! They have many of the Lego Shop-at-Home exclusive sets like (...) (21 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Crawler Treads

  Re: New Galactic Inquisition Mech.

I almost expected to see wood timbers and gears on the inside, and maybe peasants running in wheels to provide power. :-) But it's high tech medieval. The shaping of the brick/slope/rounded armor is great, and the knightly details: perforated mask, (...) (21 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament: Judge Deborah

(...) Yeah, I don't know what it says about me as a person, but I'm more upset at the sight of mutilated Lego than I am at the idea of someone getting killed violently in his sleep. By the way, I love the backward-helmet look here...I don't think it (...) (21 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

  Re: New Galactic Inquisition Mech.

(...) There are some really cool details here- I love the feet and the swords on the shinplates. And the breathing vents on the faceplate are perfect. The small man on the belt buckle strikes me as disturbing, though I can't really say why. Nice (...) (21 years ago, 5-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: A primer on making custom elements

Dear James Please forgive me for not replying to your posting before this. Somehow, I missed seeing it when you made it (some months ago... :( ). (...) Thank you.   Re: Our website is down!

(...) I suppose the website may still be up, but the domain registration (valynce.com) has expired. If somebody has the site IP they could check. It does cost a bit to register or renew a domain, but if the website is still up we could just update (...) (21 years ago, 5-Apr-05, to lugnet.gaming.starship, FTX)

  Re: Macaroni Brick Patterns

(...) Very cool. Some of those patterns would look really nice on a hawaiian shirt, no? Too bad no one would know where the patterns actually came from. Just out of curiosity, any idea what the piece count on one of these would be (the blue and (...) (21 years ago, 5-Apr-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)
