Re: My latest venture into trains: 4-6-4 Locomotive

(...) I'm too lazy to respond to everybody but I'd just like to say thanks to all for the warm words. It's projects like this (and the turkey, and that 12 foot long spaceship) that make me alternately giggle like a schoolgirl and shaking my head as (...)   How to make custom parts?

First I'd like to say sorry for asking the question you guys probably get asked more often then you like. I searched and found a thread on it but the link to the FAQ at ldraw.org was bad. So my question is, does any one have a good link to an FAQ (...) (21 years ago, 27-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Joe Vig's morning stroll

(...) Actually, I called dibs on making a vignette of a humerous scene of attempted time travel from the movie Napoleon Dynamite. We watched it at Jeramy's house after the meeting was over. Jeramy bought the movie, so we can play that scene for (...) (21 years ago, 27-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  Re: Joe Vig's morning stroll

(...) David, Correction .... he's also wearing a smile :-) You need to get in on this Joe Vig thing 'cause your sense of humor would make for some great vignettes. Brian (21 years ago, 27-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

New MOC: Prototype Class 14 Diesel Loco with BBB Wheels

Here's a new train MOC, a prototype Class 14 diesel loco. (URL) It uses BBB wheels and is articulated to get round the curves. It uses 2 technic gearmotors for power, so it has an electric feed from an adjacent vehicle with a train motor (not yet (...)   Re: New MOC: RedTail air-racer

(...) Thank you! (...) According to her she felt that it contrasted with the overall shape-- I reminded her though that these are Lego blocks and they are by definition chunky. (...) Thank you for your comments! Brent (21 years ago, 26-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: New MOC: RedTail air-racer

(...) Believe me if I had the talent to build in minifig scale I would. But I really stink at it. Thank you! Brent (21 years ago, 26-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: New MOC: RedTail air-racer

(...) Yup, I am sure it is, but then again so was the original GeeBee racer. Maybe in the future you wont have to worry about good visibility -- at least that is what I keep telling myself. (...) Well, that is not entirely true. The X-1, the first (...) (21 years ago, 26-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Joe Vig's morning stroll

(...) Man, that trainhead is wearing nothing but gloves and a chest tattoo. I'm surprised they moderated it. ; ) (21 years ago, 26-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

  Re: New MOC: RedTail air-racer

(...) I agree the engines are for sure the week point. I made them removable so if I ever get a clue as to how make better looking ones I can easily yank the old one off and snap new pretty ones on. (...) Thank you! Brent (21 years ago, 26-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: New MOC: RedTail air-racer

(...) Thanks for thinking it is cleaver, but really it is just simple geometry. When I get an idea for a model I always work it out on paper first. In this case I knew the general proportions (length vs. width) of the wing and using plate thickness (...) (21 years ago, 26-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Some comments on LPub - rotations

(...) I have to correct myself. It does not seem to work, but then as I re-read your answer, it seems that the fixed version is still in the pipe and not yet in 2.2.0.9 beta, true ? Thanks Andy (21 years ago, 26-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Some comments on LPub

(...) One way to adress this is to keep the setting in memory also as a string, and never convert on the way of loading a config file into memory and saving it to a file again. Only when the setting is used to do calculations, it is converted from (...) (21 years ago, 26-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

  Some comments on LPub  [DAT]

(...) :-) Thanks for the flowers ... (...) correctly. (...) I believe this is sufficient, since the window is scrollable. I did not yet see a case where the top of the contents had fallen off the scrollable contents. In addition, it would be nice if (...) (21 years ago, 26-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Report of first TCLTC show

First off, we have a siding hidden underneath the Thomas modules, much like the siding that appears in the front (without the spur): (URL) So, he (Ross) starts out underneath the modules with Thomas on the siding and Bill/Ben or Percy (...)   Re: oldest lego technic piece

(...) Well, it may have been my work finding it, but the MOC itself is not. As Wayne has said, it is HIS work, my collection of znap would make a bridge about as long as a muon's lifetime... ROSCO (21 years ago, 26-Mar-05, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Airport Fire

Hi there, this is the first post on Lugnet, so I hope things work. I built an 1/15th or so scale 8 x 8 Radio Controled Airport Rescue Fire Fighting truck (ARFF) which some of you may have seen posted on Brickshelf. It is BIG and Very Heavy, but it (...)
