Yup, I am sure it is, but then again so was the original GeeBee racer. Maybe in
the future you wont have to worry about good visibility -- at least that is what
I keep telling myself.



Well, as long as you don't expect it to go very fast, the straight wing looks
okay.  But you can forget about high subsonic speeds.

Well, that is not entirely true. The X-1, the first plane to break the sound
barrier, had straight wings (though the chord thickness was really really
small). In this situation I justify it by imagining that in the case where
engine power is not a factor, then the need for shear strength would out weight
many aerodynamic concerns, as long as it is an airfoil and can provide lift then
it'll work, even at supersonic speeds.
