  Inserting "O STEP" command

I recently began getting into LDRAW, MLCad, LPub, etc. I have downloaded numerous .dat, .ldr and .mpd files to learn how to make instructions. Apparently, the "0 STEP" command is very important for seeing the model assembly in LDLite as well as (...) (21 years ago, 6-Feb-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: NeutronBot.com ::: Best Site Ever

(...) Yea. I agree. (...) That's an idea. What if the link was the respective color of the hex when moused-over? It wouldn't be initionaly obivious, but once you mouseover and look around, it should ding. Additionally, placing the names in the image (...) (21 years ago, 6-Feb-05, to lugnet.publish, FTX)

  Coolest part ever--snowboard

I got one of those snowboard sets and found this cool piece inside: (URL) love the pattern on this thing...it's just so damned creepy! I have a Ninja with his sword riding this snowboard now. Excellent. Calum (21 years ago, 6-Feb-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: New Parts Drawings - Plates, Slope, Track Pieces

(...) Hi, No real "trouble" - I do this for a living. It's the DAT conversion that's slightly fussy. If you're not using MLCAD with your custom parts, I don't know if there's much demand otherwise! So I may as well just skip that bit. (...) Somehow (...) (21 years ago, 6-Feb-05, to lugnet.parts.custom, FTX)

Re: a problem ... need some help !

(...) Although you may not be using BricxCC to compile your leJOS code I think it might be instructive to describe how BricxCC manages to compile leJOS code properly. The way BricxCC works with leJOS is to create a very simple makefile that launches (...) (21 years ago, 6-Feb-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Re: A lil' Mountain with10 Tunnel Portals

Do you have (...) Hi Chris, Here's a close-up picture of the lower bridge. As you can see the bridge is an illusion. I needed to keep it at table level since all the track running under the mountain is on the table. I considered a slight elevation (...) (21 years ago, 6-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: HELP needed with non-functioning 1x2 light brick!

(...) AAA...AAAHHH...HHH! I shouldve mentioned I'm a purist! (pukes) But I guess I wouldn't mind taking it apart to FIX it.... Though for that I'd like to be sure that there was no other way to fix the bulb first... A last resort type thing. (...) (...)   Re: MOC: Alpha Team Eyewear! Get yours now!

(...) Very "saucy" indeed Dave. I'm almost speachless....did you lose a bet?...Was there booze involved? I'm talking about the shirt, not the eyewear. This could be the best post of the year, thanks for the laugh. -Keith (21 years ago, 6-Feb-05, to lugnet.space)

BrickOS 0.9.0 -- Debian "sarge" works...

Well, wouldn't you know, on the very next dist-upgrade after I posted that brickOS 0.9.0 was still in "unstable" on Debian, it materialized in "testing". My laziness was undone! Anyways, I compiled the examples in the Debian-packaged demo (...) (21 years ago, 6-Feb-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Re: Question about LEGO train motors

(...) I have never modified a motor for DCC. LUCNY isn't that advanvced ... yet. But I have had to fix a couple of motors. One was too far gone, while a couple of others were fixable. The problem I found was the mesh between the motor's pinion gear (...) (21 years ago, 6-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: NeutronBot.com ::: Best Site Ever

(...) It's extremely obvious what to do when you get to the site. When I first saw it both I and my girlfriend thought the splash was amazing. Much of the site structure was already obvious to us even before we knew how many people were on the site. (...) (21 years ago, 6-Feb-05, to lugnet.publish, FTX)

  Re: Sword'd!

(...) Hahah! Good one, but I like my hair the way it is. Actually, I'd like to grow it a bit longer, and if I could, grow a beard to go with it. (...)   ldconfig.ldr and dithered colors

How is a renderer expected to handle dithered colors not mentioned explicitly in ldconfig.ldr ? The "LDraw File Format" specification says: "Also, colours 256 through 511 are dithered. So if you want to combine colours J and K, figure your colour (...) (21 years ago, 6-Feb-05, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Since you guys are all computer techs...

I did searches using the search button, I browsed around the webpage for half an hour trying to figure this out, but there is no obvious link anywhere to help me out with this.   Question about LEGO train motors

What's the scoop on getting LEGO train motors to run (and keep running) smoothly? As our motors age, they tend to make grinding gear sounds. This weekend I converted 7 motors to DCC using 5 brand new motors. Some are OK and some grind away, (...) (21 years ago, 6-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
