Re: Gladius - My First Mech

(...) I rarely comment on mechs or mecha around here, but I have to break my vow of silence. I was an old-school battletech player, and my favorite was the Catapult. When the clan books first came out, I couldn't wait for a Mad Cat figure and so I (...) (21 years ago, 3-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Fifth Conspiracy Jolly Roger Drop Ship - New MOC!

(...) Is it availabe for use as a party-van to Vegas? This thing reminds me of a truck-stop prostitute...big, ugly and not afraid to get down and dirty. I think the bottom section could use a few less studs, but it might alter the coolness of the (...) (21 years ago, 3-Feb-05, to lugnet.space)

Re: Parts editing made easy, anyone?

(...) <snip> (...) Yes, I use MLCad in conjuction with LDDP/LDView for parts authoring. My method is to build the part in MLCad since it does all the rotaion calculations for me and then clean in up and fine tune ithe part in LDDP/LDView. As far as (...)   First LEGO 8 wide train

I have read many messages regarding that LEGO trains should be build 6 wide or 8 wide. We all know LEGO choose to create their trains 6 wide. 8 wide we have to design ourselves. But browsing through old LEGO ideabooks I found this picture of what I (...) (21 years ago, 2-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

New Parts Drawings - Plates, Slope, Track Pieces

I wish TLC would make these parts. Seeing earlier discussions I think I'm not alone! I've attempted 3rd angle projection drawings, showing top, side and underside, despite not having a drawing package. Drawing these parts in Paint is eyestrain city! (...)   Re: Helicopter

(...) Hi Pierrick, that's nice work! And I'm glad I could provide a little inspiration. The weird thing is, that helicopter was the first MOC I built after my dark age too! I like how you control the swash plate (turntable) from below - the probably (...) (21 years ago, 2-Feb-05, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

(...) Thanks for the info. Do you have an email contact for him, or could you have him email me. I would like to talk TGV's with him.   Re: using PWM output to control Lego motors

(...) The signals output by the RC receiver will drive servos or RC motor speed controllers. The signal consists of a pulse of 1-2ms width in an 18ms cycle. For a servo, 1ms corresponds to 45 degrees turn one way, 1.5ms to centre and 2ms to 45 (...) (21 years ago, 2-Feb-05, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)

Sensor Resistance Readings and Circuit Descriptions

I've added a graph of RCX/Cybermaster sensor resistance vs raw reading to my brickshelf gallery: (URL) There are 3 lines on the graph, with the resistance values on a log axis.   Re: using PWM output to control Lego motors

Hi Joe, (...) are you sure this isn't for servos? (...) Yes, the RCX uses PWM for power control, in each 8ms period power is on for 0-8ms and off (disconnected) for the rest. (...) You need 9V and up to 500mA. (...) I have the impression that they (...) (21 years ago, 2-Feb-05, to lugnet.robotics)
