  Lego Pnematic Parts

I remember when Lego carried Pnematic parts accessory packs which contained a pump, a cylinder, a switch a couple of 't's and tubing. This was a great way to buy Pneumatics. Now however the only way is through Lego Education. Not bad, they have the (...) (21 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Price of petrol vs price of plastic products

(...) I'm keeping this in lugnet.lego because it might actually be relevant there. Feel free to FUT as appropriate. Overnight, KMart has increased its prices for MegaBloks sets by about 15%. I happen to have been in this same store yesterday, so I (...) (21 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.lego)

Re: Is 1:40 minifig scale? (was Project YAMATO)

(...) I always accord minifigs 1:35 scale, possibly 1:32, because those are the closest "standard military" scales. But also, I go by the average of the minifigs' dimensions, which sort of implies they are 5' tall and very, very broad. So I am (...)   Oh, wow. Wowowow. (was: Re: Project YAMATO)

(...) Jumpei, That is beautiful. Truly a thing of utter beauty. I am currently planning out a true-minifig-scale model of the battleship Fuso ca. 1944, though I am going closer to 1:35 scale given that minifigs are not truly to human propor- tions. (...)   Re: MOC 8436: Cranetruck

how do you do that? ???...??? With pieces from ONE set? I always run out of pieces or need another one of that piece (etc.). Yours look like they all belong there. Lego would have sold a lot more sets if this was the model I think. Steve (21 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: MOC 8436: Cranetruck

(...) Oh wow... Great model, and great photography! I'm totally amazed at people who can build in Technic, and it's even more impressive that you only used parts from 8436! Looks like an official model. Instructions? :) -Bryan (21 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: MOC 8436: Cranetruck

(...) You really have quite a wide range of talent. Not only do you do good sports cars, but you have done robots, boats, people, trucks- all out of Lego kits. Maybe now you can start building construction vehicles. I assume you did not use a winch (...) (21 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: Is 1:40 minifig scale? (was Project YAMATO)

(...) I personally advocate 1 stud to the foot, which is about 1:38. If the stud size is exactly 8mm then it's 1:38.1. If a stud size is 5/16" then it's 1:38.4. There's little difference between the two, unless you build something 14630 plates high (...) (21 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: An alternative open letter to the CEO of the LEGO Company

(...) Well here's *my understanding* of it. TLG changed the colours because the old grays and brown did not fit in with their "vision" of the colour palette. They tested the new colours with groups of children, and the kids liked it. After changing (...) (21 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.color, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Hello everybody

Hello everybody, I'm new here. This is my first post. I started building Mecha about 9 month ago and the 22nd is the first that goes to public. It's named Primech because it's the first one that actually got a name. (2 URLs) The arms are inspired by (...) (21 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: surrender, you're surrounded!

(snip) Bottom line--it's a matter of opinion. One opinion is okay with the color change, the other is not. This sounds like a debate that ranks up there with politics and abortion. The German AFOL community has been most vocal about this, and (...) (21 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.color)

  Re: Bricksaic version 0.1.0

(...) I ran into this too while betatesting. If you were using, for example, MLCad, it might be a problem with the color definitions that MLCad is aware of. Bricksiac is getting its color info from the ldconfig.ldr file in the install dir, I think. (...) (21 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mosaic, lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Post something 2 Castle!

(...) I think that's basicly what's happened. Most of the forum "noise" is over there. If you ask my opinion, the KK2 debate is a bit over-done there. Too many people take exception to the criticisms of the negative product concerns from the first (...) (21 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.castle)
