  Re: The Great Ball Contraption

(...) Yep. The IN basket is really more of a "target zone" - the upstream module should drop the balls into your IN basket zone (really, the 8x8 center section) from a height of at least 10 bricks (no specified upper limit, so when building your (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Hmmmmmmm "Freaks"??? Oh Chrissssssss, the kettle is calling, he left a one word message for you.... "BLACK!" (...) Calum is already beautiful enough. (...)   Re: RTL R(whatever)

(...) Oh, I like that idea. I want to do that at Brickfest... :) If you chose to do this as RTLx, I'd suggest using soccer/basket balls. I know it breaks the rule of only doing original events, but after doing block stacking for the 10th time, I (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

British Rail EM2 / NS 1500 class electric engine

For quite a while now I had the intention to build a model of the former British Rail EM2 class engine (built specifically for the Woodhead route with it's 1500V DC system), later bought by the Dutch Railways during the engine shortage late 1960's (...)   Re: The Great Ball Contraption

(...) Really, the only thing defining a "module space" is a flat L & R edge, and no part of the module extending more than 32 studs from the front edge of the input bin "zone" - the footprint need not be remotely rectangular, nor is there a set (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Bulk Bricks online survey - results...

(...) Richard/Jake, I know there have been a lot of community related things happening lately, but have any recent developements been made on this or the bulk program in general? thanks in advance. Jonathan (longing for bulk grey/bley 2x2 tiles) (21 years ago, 7-Jan-05, to lugnet.lego)

  Re: RTL R(whatever)

(...) That's exactly what came to mind when I read it too!! Just not quite sure exactly what the actual competition aspect would be? All we need now is for Calum to come up with a witty title at 3am, and we're good to go :) And following the mantra (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: The Great Ball Contraption

  Re: The Great Ball Contraption

(...) Or someone who owns a soccer ball could measure it and publish the size. Most craft stores sell a selection of little wooden balls. It might be cheaper to buy a few about the right size rather than paying to mail genuine Lego ones? Of course, (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: The Great Ball Contraption

(...) Cool - That works for me :) Steve - on the page it says "The IN basket should be 10 studs by 10 studs (outside dimension) with an 8x8 opening, and should be 10 bricks (beams) tall." and "Each module should be able to accept balls at an average (...)   Re: The Great Ball Contraption

(...) I read that, I just decided to be a little more apparent, as in 'Gee Steve, send me some balls!' ;) I have a grande total of, wait for it... 1 soccer ball, and it came with my Brickfest '04 set. At your convenience, of course :) Dave K (21 years ago, 7-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: The Great Ball Contraption

(...) To clarify--are we allowed to use 2 'module spaces' if we want? As well, I notice that the train ran along 'outside' the designated module area--is that allowed as well? Do we then have to get permission from our neighbouring module owners to (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) This is fantastic. The movie is well worth the download, because if the words don't encourage, the pictures certainly will. If enough people sign up, we'll need a seperate GBC room :) JB (21 years ago, 7-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: The Great Ball Contraption

(...) Oh My Goodness!!! I'm so there for this!!! This looks like the funnest thing to happen to RCX's since rtl events. Where does one purchase 20-30 soccer balls? Dave K (21 years ago, 7-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics)
