I was wondering the same thing until a little while ago, I saw a large (i.e. industrial-sized) remote control vehicle in use by the UK fire service to fight fires in hazardous areas. (...) The little lift truck in the 8062 Universal set has the same steering mechanism. Just use a standard steeing rack with the steering knuckles on opposite sides of the wheel. The CyberMaster tracks do look cool, but you can build your own tracks out of "standard" LEGO Technic parts (and bigger than "the biggest LEGO has ever built").
