  Re: Merry Christmas

(...) Indeed! I hope everyone is having a good season! (Although I for one received an unusually small amount of ABS from Santa this year...) ;o •Hendo (21 years ago, 27-Dec-04, to lugnet.gaming.starship, FTX)

The Eighth ROTS set. Spoiler Warning!!!

ROTS Set 7259 (URL) Fighter - It's the ultimate space battle for control of the galaxy! Will the sleek ARC-170 starfighter with its crew of Clones be successful in completing its mission? The ARC-170 features opening wings and dropping "bombs"! (...) (21 years ago, 27-Dec-04, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Johnny five robot

Does anyone have any information on interfacing Mindstorm to the Rokenbok systems? There was some news on this last year but I have not heard if it was every done. David (21 years ago, 27-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Coming to Kalamazoo

(...) Well, just got back from this. It was way way fun. Dan brought some really great small stuff, as did Jason, and Nik and I had a few items as well. Tim C and Dave K. also came out and we had a great time. The folks at Fanfare are great. This is (...) (21 years ago, 27-Dec-04, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, FTX)

  Re: ~Use and ~Moved

(...) But I just don't think there is a need to some big changes. For example LEGO's internal taxonomy is simply horrid (AFAIK). (...) Hm, I don't think so. For example some set references 44237 and I don't have any 44237... Does that mean I can (...) (21 years ago, 27-Dec-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Student project - "The New World"

(...) That's the active Lego builder of the group, Fredrik Rinman. :) Just as a side note, I was inspired by the movie to give that batch of students Lego-themed exams in their course on computer graphics. I realized I could actually ask anything I (...) (21 years ago, 27-Dec-04, to lugnet.animation)

Re: Happy Holidays = LEGO under the tree

(...) Holiday Greetings! I pre-spent anticipated Christmas money and bought a 10133 Burlington Northern Santa Fe GP-38 Locomotive and a 10029 Apollo Lunar Lander for myself from S@H. My 7 year old son got the Lupin's Classroom and Sirius Black's (...) (21 years ago, 27-Dec-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.year.2004)

  Re: ~Use and ~Moved

(...) No big deal. :) Peeron uses ~Use tags, LDraw doesn't. (...) I feel that it's unlikely that all fans are going to change their behaviour/data whenever TLC makes a switch. There are too many of us, and we all have different levels of access, (...) (21 years ago, 27-Dec-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: MPD Wizard 1.0b

(...) Thanks Orion, works fine now! Philo (21 years ago, 27-Dec-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: ~Use and ~Moved

(...) Sorry, I didn't know that, I thought it was an LDraw issue. (...) It's also the id currently in use by TLC and I think it's easier to mimic their system as close as possible, than to reinvent a wheel. (...) Aliasing is the reply. 44237 and (...)   Re: ~Use and ~Moved

(...) I think this is a Peeron question more than an LDraw question. For me, it would be confusing to have two different numbers in use for what's a functionally identical part. It kind of depends on the direction you're coming from -- as far as (...) (21 years ago, 27-Dec-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: ~Use and ~Moved

(...) I think I'm missing something here. I downloaded 44237 from the PT and couldn't find "~Use" anywhere. In fact, I don't think I've seen "~Use" in official part files. -Orion (21 years ago, 27-Dec-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Tennlug

(...) I am interested in reviving TennLUG but I don't know what I can do because I am just 14. I am crazy about legos and I don't have a terribly large collection. Most of my stuff is devoted to the lego mindstorms and stopmotion animation though I (...) (21 years ago, 27-Dec-04, to lugnet.org.us.tennlug)

  ~Use and ~Moved

Hi, could anybody explain these? For example 44237 is valid mold number for 'new' Brick 2 x 6. I don't know what are differences to 2456 and I don't care much. For inventory purposes the number 44237 is important, I think. So why '~Use' - why it (...) (21 years ago, 27-Dec-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  SW Sidebar Update?

Wow, the Star Wars side bar was finally updated! To remove my name from the MOCs list? What gives Mr. Curator? AC PS. I don't even remember when was the last time I saw it there, but some poor soul emailed me about it. (21 years ago, 27-Dec-04, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: RCX IR Transceiver and Sensor Port Circuits

(...) I think the jpeg I posted here: (URL) reads OK, since I made sure the lines on the drawing were thicker than 1 pixel. If you still have problems please say so. Mark (21 years ago, 27-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics, FTX)

Re: How do I power a long track?

(...) What sort of trains are you running? The advice depends on this as it specifies the power requirement. My layout has a circuit of 106 pieces of track and I use parallel-connected feed wires, one at each end, so that the through-sidings on each (...) (21 years ago, 27-Dec-04, to lugnet.trains)
