 | | November 2004 SMART Meeting Notes
We had a small but wonderful meeting last weekend! Gus showed a wind-up clock that he's been working on. He gave an interesting presentation on how several escapement mechanisms work, and also some useful pointers on how to reduce friction in gear (...) (21 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

 | | Duplo Castle set 4776 - and a problem
I picked up the 'Dragon Tower' Duplo Castle set (4776) today at LLCA and it is a very nice set. I was worried that I would not like them, that they would be "to MBish". While they do have a hint of "MBish" to it - it is still a very cool set and the (...) (21 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.duplo, lugnet.castle, lugnet.lego, FTX)

 | | Legofest Crema - ringraziamenti

(21 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

 | | Re: How LEGO FACTORY can stimulate AFOL interest (and sales).
(...) There aren't any round corner 4x4 pieces, unfortunately. There are a few half arch 1 x 2 pieces, but those are fairly common in a lot of colors, I believe. Here are the pieces (specifically slopes) and their colors in the LEGO Factory (...) (21 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

(...) For the hooks I only found two versions, but I haven't yet finished the curved end. (URL) thanks for your historical overview of when the different types of hook couplings were used and in wich sets. Very interesting. Niels (21 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

There has been a great burninating scene in the weekly fanstuff on (URL). There have actually been several Lego fanstuffs. You can go here: (URL) to see some more. There is also a CAD Lego homestar in the history section of the H*R page. (21 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

 | | Re: TRU specials
(...) It seems to be mostly classic greys, with the occasional bley part thrown in. As these are supposedly extra parts originally bound for other sets, I guess they took a while to put together hence they're mostly from pre-2004 sets. ROSCO (21 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

(...) Hey folks, Does the tub come with old greys or new greys? As a 2004 set I would guess new ones but peeron lists it as having the old ones. Cheers Matthew (21 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

 | | Re: TRU specials

(...) The 8 x 16 baseplates are 'Light Green', the 1 x 6 plates are 'Aqua' according to BL. Peeron lists the 1 x 6 plates in 5850 as 'Aqua'. All these colours...if we were true purists, we would all learn Danish and call them whatever Lego calls (...) (21 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.loc.au)
