Re: Appreciating what TLG and Lego Direct have done for AFOL's

(...) *waves away the soap bubbles* You know what's even older than complaining, Gene? It's complaining about complainers - especially if the complainers do have pefectly valid points of concern. Your observations at WalMart indicate you have at (...) (21 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego) !

Re: Newer Mod (was: New mod)

(...) Thanks Lar. Ya, I wish there was a better way (probably is, I just haven't thought of it yet) to make it show less of the shadows. I'm really enthusiastic about this new idea. Who knows, it could make its way into the train scene too. (...) (...) (21 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.parts.mod, lugnet.space)

Re: Q 'bout Space Wheels contest

(...) The idea is wheels used as wheels, but this doesn't preclude other, non-wheel parts used as wheels. Wheels used as non-wheels doesn't qualify. Show us anyway. The worst that could happen is that it doesn't win. Cheers, Allister (21 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.space)

Some 2005 sets showing up already in regular stores.

Hi everyone, I have just returned from ToysRUs in Fond-Du-Lac WI and to my suprise they have some of the new 2005 sets in stock already - including a couple that I don't think have been mentioned yet. Among others, they had: 7239 Fire Truck (URL) (...) (21 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.year.2005)

Re: One last Spring Cleaning set

(...) Good to know. I was watching for them to show up, but now I think I won't bother. The Walgreens sale is consistently offering a buy two get one sale that has the Lego at a penny per piece. 8.99 for 400 doesn't cut the mustard. If anyone does (...)   Re: One last Spring Cleaning set

My local Kmart had a pile of these on the shelf today, or at least they had a set that I believe to be these. It was a small blue bucket with 200 pieces + 200 bonus pieces on it. Seemed to be very similar to the Walgreen's set as far as the standard (...) (21 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.market.shopping)
