Re: LEGO Factory Contest MOC: Weekend Holiday

(...) (snip) (...) Joel, I initially looked at this yesterday and thought "hm, nice idea...everyone is doing buildings and you aren't!" I only saw the pic above and was pretty impressed with the work you put into the scenery. However, I just took a (...) (21 years ago, 17-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Re: How does the voting at the Lego Factory Competition work?

(...) The rules IMO say: 16x16 studs building area. It doesn't mention at which height, so it must apply for all heights, so no overhang. Simply block 16x16xH, where H is height (without limits). If the size limit wouldn't apply at any other level (...) (21 years ago, 17-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Behind the curtains - LEGO Factory AFOL Project Team

(...) I was glad to see Ross' name on the list. After seeing his micro city with working train so many years ago, I think he was an obvious choice to be a part of the team. (URL) (21 years ago, 17-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

  Re: A Penny Per Piece

The people at my Walgreens in California were the same way, the 2 employees that "helped" me looked down the toy and promotional aisle, and since they weren't there they said they hadn't come in yet.   Re: Behind the curtains - LEGO Factory AFOL Project Team

(...) Note: I'm speaking for myself here, not Lego. I think there are a couple of big things to be excited about: 1. From Jake's original post: "If the idea catches on, we will open up the virtual LEGO Factory for all LEGO fans to have their own (...) (21 years ago, 17-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

Re: Behind the curtains - LEGO Factory AFOL Project Team

(...) **snip of several names** (...) Hey John, is that your son Ross? Not to pick nits, but does he actually qualify as an AFOL? I thought he was younger. Not that there's anything wrong with young kids--I myself am quite fond of one in particular. (...) (21 years ago, 17-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

Re: How does the voting at the Lego Factory Competition work?

(...) Can't see it too. Tried 2 different browsers. I'm quite surprised how it can get any votes at all. The jpg downloaded from the site is plain wrong, so I doubt anyone can get better (I've tried to reload the picture multiple times). What do you (...) (21 years ago, 17-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: How does the voting at the Lego Factory Competition work?

(...) Yes, except that you can't vote for your own model. (...) That's up to you. If there's one model that is really head-and-shoulders above the rest, vote for that one only. Or you could just vote for all the models that you find acceptable, in (...) (21 years ago, 17-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)

How does the voting at the Lego Factory Competition work?

Although I am not participating, I went to the Lego Factory Competition site today to cast my vote for some entered models. How does the voting work? It seems you can vote for as many models as you like. Is that true? If so, what should I do, go (...) (21 years ago, 17-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)

  Kmart (US) to buy Sears

K-Mart sells LEGO toys, Sears is not known for selling toys in the US (other than during the Holidays, and then I have only seen MBs). I wonder how this will affect the LEGO offerrings. (URL) (21 years ago, 17-Nov-04, to lugnet.market.theory)
