  Medieval Merchant Ship

(URL) I made this for the CCContest at (URL) but I thought I would share it here. Add cannon and arm the crew and it becomes a small coastal raider. :) (21 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.pirates)

  4stud-wide Roadster 2005, using "Slope ? angle 1 x 1 x 2/3 Roof Tile"

Hi, guys. Viewing 2005 CITY sets, I feel they've lost the way to "Legoland", (Okay, now the width of roadplates are 6stud or wider...) So I decided to try 4stud-wide car using 2005 new parts. Here is an example of my trial ; (URL) I will modify (...) (21 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow

(...) I personaly hated it. At first, it seemed like a great idea, but I guess they screwed it up bad because the scenario is poor at best, the acting is very ordinary (I really don't like Gwynneth Paltrow and don't even get me started on Jude (...)   Re: Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow

(...) I've not seen this yet, but it looks cool, what with the retro look and all. We took the kids to see The Incredibles over the weekend. I thought it was very good. And yes, I did see it with the mindset of an 8 year old. It's got a few cool (...) (21 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: My entry for the Intergalactic Space Wheels Contest

(...) Harri, I really like this. The color scheme works very well as a camoflauge, and the missile platform is nicely integrated. Adding the droids was a good idea, we're using enough of them in today's Army, I'm sure that trend will continue. You (...) (21 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Skin Tone MiniFigs

(...) I think it was a tough call on Lego's part. On the one hand some people were crying for darker-skinned figs (like Lando), and some people were adamant that they stuck with yellow. And if you start making brown or various in-between shades, (...) (21 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Mobile Party Palace (Space Wheels Contest Entry)

This is one of the most original MOCs I've seen in a while. I hope you'll post some construction-type pics, 'cause I want to show my son (age 8) this MOC as an example of how everything doesn't have to have a pointy nose and wings to be "space." It (...)   Re: Skin Tone MiniFigs

(...) I'm with John on this one. I think the way LEGO has gone about flesh toning the minifigs (i.e. flesh for licensed characters, yellow for all others) is awesome. -Orion (21 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Mobile Party Palace (Space Wheels Contest Entry)

(...) Thanks for the compliment, but I really hope that's not the case. Rather that this is just raising the bar and that there are going to be a pile of people beavering away up to the deadline who are all going to beat this into the ground. Tim (21 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
