Re: my MOC page is up and running!

(...) Hi Laura! Looks great. I really like the Keep and village. Very detailed and thought out. Your mill is excellent as well. I recall seeing it in a thread on Classic-Castle.com. It was spotted on Brickshelf and we talked about it. Very (...) (22 years ago, 28-Oct-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.loc.us.tx)

Re: Lego spare parts box pictures from the 1950's

(...) Gary, Thanks for the pictures and information. There is an interesting variety to these boxes: (URL) have a few questions: 1) Most of the boxes are colored sleeves that surround a white or black box with mono-colored graphics. But I've seen (...) (22 years ago, 28-Oct-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Partsref DAT download problems?

(...) I didn't see it myself until today, when I spotted a new reply to it in the .admin group. (...) category entry correctly links you to .../parts/3001.dat. I'd guess the category pages are hard-coded, since they're HTML, while the search results (...) (22 years ago, 28-Oct-04, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

In lugnet.announce.moc, brent skadan wrote: snip (...) I'm really impressed, for a lot of reasons. The Technic-fig scale is quite a challenge, being quite a parts hog. Despite that, the color scheme is very tight. Others have commented on the (...) (22 years ago, 28-Oct-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars, FTX)

  Re: Partsref DAT download problems?

(...) Wow, if I had seen that I wouldn't have even tried. Peeron it is then. I guess I go to Partsref just out of habit... No wonder Steve won't talk to me anymore! ;^) (...) Partref search results link: (URL) directory link: (URL) all, Darrell (22 years ago, 28-Oct-04, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: Crab steering idea

Nathan- Thanks for showing how crab steering works. I also like how you designed it, but the fact that it doesn't have a fixed steering wheel bothered me, so I designed one which has. Also, I might impliment this in my realtime version of my crane (...) (22 years ago, 27-Oct-04, to lugnet.technic)

  8865 and 8475

So why did I want to get the hubs and the rubber to stick together on the old large Technic tyres? After a very successful 8448 and 8475 merge, and a mostly successful 8466 and 8475 merge, I decided to have another go at it. Thought about the 956 (...)   Re: Renderer Questions

(...) I recommend "LEGO Software Power Tools", I know the guys that wrote it. :^) (...) LPub guarantees the consistant scale, not L3P or POV-Ray. Without LPub the images always fill the window (L3P), so the scale would constantly change. L3P does (...) (22 years ago, 28-Oct-04, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: Armor!

(...) I'm more partial to the term "wuss blue", though that probably comes from being a long-time fan of Legends of the Five Rings. I can understand why they went with brighly colored good-guys (worked for BIONICLE), but I'm at a complete loss as to (...) (22 years ago, 28-Oct-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Partsref DAT download problems?

(...) Something like that. I was saying more on the basis that if you're already involving Peeron in your search process, there's no point in using that information to hunt the parts down in another database when Peeron already provides direct links (...)
