BricxCC 'Float' Command not working on Scout

While programming a Scout using BrickCC, no matter how many times I tried, I could not get the Scout to 'float' its motors. The program was as follows- task main() { OnFwd(OUT_A); Wait(50); Float(OUT_A); } After a half second the motor would brake, (...) (22 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.robotics.scout)

TRU faux pax: MB in LEGO display areas

While visiting a local TRU today I noticed the following travesty, abomination, defilement, etc. Jake, is this okay with LEGO? If not, what can we do!?!?! (URL) (22 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

Re: Are *we* part of TLG's problem?

(...) I don't believe that's true. LEGO targets the yound children with "cool" products that are all fresh and new. Most kids would rather have the newest theme than an old set they saw in a catalog a year ago. And if these kids wanted these sets in (...) (22 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Onwards to rtlToronto18...

(...) I think that's a pretty good way of putting it. The other thing we need to talk about is the worth of a tower. Do we use the Fibonacci-based sequence for tower height? How many blocks of each colour? Calum (22 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Onwards to rtlToronto18...

(...) I hope Dave will chime up in a minute, because he was also a big proponent of 8" cubed. I can see both points: Like Bruce, I love stuff like this: (URL) featured in the Greg Hyland AFOLs book) (...) But at the same time, I think the 8" cubed (...)   Re: Zellers BOGO half off sale

(...) I wonder how many people read the fine print on the defered payment plan. The add reads "Do not pay for 1 full year. No interest, no down payment and no monthly payment." Sounds pretty good so far, until you read that there is a $55 (...) (22 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: LDGlite and LPub

Hi Don, When I render James Jessiman's car.dat with ldglite and l3p/pov ray using: -cg30,45,6000 The car rendered by ldglite is not the same size as the car rendered by POV-Ray. Do you have any idea why this would be? Hi Lars, When I run l3p on (...) (22 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.cad)

Robolab/RCX program code size and limits.

Hi, I'm using Robolab 2.5.3 and RCS firmware revision 03.01 03.28. I have a couple of questions: - I want to demonstrate the difference in code size between a program written using subroutines versus a program written using subVi's. How do I (...)   Re: Onwards to rtlToronto18...

We don't need no stink'n limits. Maybe if we were going 4x4, but we're not. And, can anyone recall a time that a robot was too big or had too many processors. Limits (without an obvious purpose) ar exactly that...limiting. (22 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
