I wonder how many people read the fine print on the defered payment plan. The
add reads "Do not pay for 1 full year. No interest, no down payment and no
monthly payment." Sounds pretty good so far, until you read that there is a $55
administration fee. So if you make a $200 purchase, use this offer and then pay
it off at the end of the year you end up paying $255 for this "Deal". That
works out to the equivalent of paying 27.5% interest!!! Still I guess it's
better than the Future Shop. If you read the fine print on their "no payment"
offers you can end up paying 32% or more.
If you wonder how the people that come up with these schemes can sleep at night,
I guess a matress full of money is a good cure for insomnia :o)
