  Re: Scale

(...) Gaz, this won't be exact, but it might help. The Lego scale used for the classic era (1957-72) had Lego cars and trucks that were 1:87 scale. The classic Lego door was 3 bricks tall, and the modern Lego door is 5 or 6 brick tall. That would (...) (22 years ago, 18-Oct-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: LEGO Millyard model to cover 2,000 square feet, Sponsored by NELUG

(...) Yep-- and one of the biggest problems was the fact that the paper, although made by Lego, didn't QUITE line up with the studs at the lengths we were dealing with, because supposedly it gets stretched in the printing process. Made for quite a (...) (22 years ago, 18-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town, lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: ToPleSs : the Art of building between the studs

(...) Matt Chiles used this technique heavily in his roller coaster, and referred to it as "pony-eared" (the 2x2 plate is pony-eared into the 2x4 plate). This comes from the old castle sets, before there was a horse element. The ears of the horses (...) (22 years ago, 18-Oct-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.schleim, lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Come levigare i pezzi opachi...

(22 years ago, 18-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

  My First MOC

Here is my first MOC, a retreat home. (URL) have been collecting sets for decades, but never really was inspired (or had the courage) to make MOCs until I attended Brickfest last year and then joined the local LUG and LTC here in North Carolina. I (...) (22 years ago, 18-Oct-04, to lugnet.announce) !

Re: MOC: 8439SL Front End Loader

(...) Huh-- out of curiosity, I just wrote a quick script to check how many technic sets are *completely* studless, according to sets that are in the Lugnet database and have a Peeron inventory (skipping anything throwbots, roboriders, bionicle, or (...) Hi all, As someone who has never participated in a large group build I'm very curious as to how this works.. Could you answer a few questions? I see the buildings are arranged on large gridded paper, and each team has several reference photographs. (...)   Re: Jake Chat II - Transcript

(...) This baffles me. Hasn't the color-consistency of LEGO been praised as one of the factors setting it above its competitor clone brands? And now we have more or less official confirmation that color-variance is expected and (presumably) (...) (22 years ago, 18-Oct-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego, FTX)

Re: Jake Chat II - Transcript

(...) I'm curious about this exchange from Jake's chat: Daimyo Jake, you have stated on Lugnet that the color changes would be limited to grays. Daimyo But what about the new yellow color change? sink21 no, not really... what I said was tha the (...) (22 years ago, 18-Oct-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego, FTX)
