Re: Lego Mosaic - Build Your Own - Gone?

Thanks for looking into this, David. The Tiger mosaic looks to have a pretty even distribution of colors, so I'll try to shoehorn my image into this distribution, and minimize the purchase. Here is the giant Legolas mosaic (12 panels) I am (...) (22 years ago, 30-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: Most cutesy space set Lego has ever made :)

(...) *muffled giggle* Actually, I think the Snowspeeder in the new 2003 set 4486 is pret-ty cute :D Of the classic space stuff I guess the 6940 is charming (a little blocky, but that only makes it cuter I think:) and if anyone has one I'd fork out (...) (22 years ago, 30-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

Is there such a thing as a decent free MPG encoder?

I'm trying to put together animations from a series of image files. Up to now I've used gif animation programs. But I'm thinking I can get much better compression if I go to MPeg format. What free/inexpensive programs are out there that do this (...) (22 years ago, 30-Jan-03, to lugnet.publish)

Re: RCX & RIS, a fading glory?

Steve! What a great Idea, having components that you could snap together like code blocks but with real Lego! What a natural idea. If I understand your idea right, you could have a small, say, 4x4 or 2x4 bick ROM computer that has a dedictaed (...) (22 years ago, 30-Jan-03, to lugnet.robotics)

Problem with dll putting a program on the RCX.
