  [rtlToronto] train4 Poster Available

Hi folks, We haven't had event posters in a while (mostly due to being busy on my part) but here's a poster for train4: (URL) notice it's on legal paper, so feed in a stack of 8.5x14" into your printer before printing. It's like watching a (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Christmas in Australia (ISCC entry)

Very nice! I'm in awe of your food. Lots of nice details all over. Merry Christmas. Bruce (22 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Have HoverBike, will travel. Build your own today!

That's a really cool idea. I've always liked your hoverbikes... I'll go and make some myself. Can we make variations on the fleebnork power source? I have a few ideas for it. -JHK (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Japanese Fishing Village

Keith, I like this one even better than the last one, and I really liked the last one. The layout is very cool with the different levels. My favorite construction is the bridge. I'll have to copy that design sometime. Bruce (22 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Now here's a big one.

I did a quick upload (might run into an error message) of another picture I found but in a 1987 SAH. This one looks a lot better than the wanna-be that Mega Bloks make (hate those guys!). (URL) guess they didn't stop selling it after Challenger. -- (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: [rtlToronto] rtlToronto/train4 Lego Train Show, January 18th, 2003

(...) I thought so too, but JeffE mailed me about the name Whistlestop... (...) Jeff and Derek have really done all the work for train4. There's really only a core set of layout builders-JeffE/Derek for Altenburg and JeffVW for the docklands/dam (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: my first seed

(...) Creative use of the seed part. (...) LOL! -Kevin (22 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: LEGO Legend #10041 European prices and shipping

(...) Yet *again*, €5 more than the US market price. What are these €5 accounted for? Shouldn't shipping be cheaper to the RoE from DK? What are these guys expecting? That the EUR devalues to 90% of the USD value??? For heaven's sake, it has been (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.loc.eu)

  Re: my first seed

That's pretty neat. A cool use of those classic space parts! I can imagine little children sitting in the seat of the ship and playing Galaxy Warz... :) I love it! Is it supposed to be a moonbase module? -JHK (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

LEGO Legend #10041 European prices - MISTAKE!

(...) :-O The site says DKK 49.95, indeed... it's obviously a mistake. I'm crossposting in the hope someone from LEGO sees this. If it is not a mistake, I'll buy 10 instead of one, via Denmark :-) Pedro (22 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.loc.eu, lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: A Generic Idea

I don't know about other places, but here cell phone service is expensive to use as a robot communication method. Perhaps a "personal radio" (They have a range of about 2 miles) would be better, and data could be transmitted through tones. ----- (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.robotics)

  Some finds at Target

Wassssup Everyone, Just thought I'd pass on some facts when I went to my local Target yesterday. First, there WAS a copy of the NBA challenge set, as well as the Sopwith Camel. These things I never even knew existed out of the shop@home. While I (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Christmas in Australia (ISCC entry)

(...) Fabulous entry Mel, great idea well presented. Good capturing of the casual nature of a loungeroom and that kitchen certainly looks like many I have seen in real life. Nice outdoor feast, all that is missing is the flies. Leia should stay in (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.loc.au)

  BrickOS Multithreading

Hi, I did some research in my free time at the public holidays :-). So the questions do we really need a real multithreading??? In my constructions I never used threads with the same priority, because it doesent make sense to turn on a motor and 20 (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: [PRESS RELEASE] INTRODUCING BRICKST MAGAZINE - THE LEGO® FAN MAGAZINE.

I can understand that perhaps that you don't want to be spending out on shipping the preview copy overseas, but Matthew, will the rest of the world be able to subscribe, albeit at a higher rate to reflect higher postage charges? Huw (22 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Roll Call!

Things got a bit CrAzY with a few ‘mad-rushes’ for the 50th place… But I believe that this is the correct order of arrival. Oh and, I really liked what Felix wrote about honoring Dr. Carney with the 50th spot…but Tammy does have a point with regards (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.castle)

Re: [PRESS RELEASE] INTRODUCING BRICKS? MAGAZINE - THE LEGO® FAN MAGAZINE.

I'll be interested in seeing how this is presented to the non-LUGNET member via retail outlets, since the general LEGO public is going to be the key to it's success. Sounds exciting. jt (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.publish)

  A Generic Idea

The Vision Command camera was great - until you discovered it had a cord :) and thereby understood that Lego *faked* the robot in robotics inventions commercial...) This is my very first post and so I don't know if this idea is new, but I'm (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: need camera advice.

(...) Hello Jonathan, I have a Nikon Coolpix 800 (3.3 MP with macro function) and it's outstanding for photographing LEGO® creations. If you return that camera you have, make sure to purchase one with a macro option...and digital zoom isn't even (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.publish.photography)
