StarWars Ep. II MECHA from lego!

Hello all- Just saw this pic, and was totally thrilled! Lego is releasing the AT-TF from Ep. II! Although it is probably gonna cost an arm and a leg, it is definately a step up from bioicle 'mecha' they have previously done. (URL) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New MOC: Ravage G1 Transfomer URL

(...) Awesome job! It'd be even better if it could transform, but still.... I will try to do a transformer soon, they are to cool to pass up, and I have 45 beast wars figs. Yeah, I liked something other than lego for a while. ;) Ryan (URL) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  New Mech!

Hello all- I recently cannibalized my Slave 1, Republic Gunship, and both of my Jedi Starfighters, thus enabling me to complete a couple new mechs. The Stinger Land/Air-Mecha (LAM) is one of them. With the capability to transform into an aerospace (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: articulation points?

(...) Pedant's corner: This reminds me of an argument I've had several times, and to be honest have yet to come to a definitive answer. The maximum number of degrees of freedom an object can have in three dimensional space is six; translation in the (...)   Re: TransAmerica Building

Wow! Pretty amazing entry as a first step into posting here. You know that your next announcement has to be even bigger, right? :) Just kidding. The building is really nice. Things at that scale are always awe-inspiring. I like the little flag on (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.build)

  Re: articulation points?

thanks for taking the time to answer my question. if i calculated correctly (assuming that i count each joint only once per semetrical side , i.e., one shoulder joint, one hip joint, etc.) my model has about 20 poa and 40 dof. this is how i figure (...)   Re: New MOC: Ravage G1 Transfomer URL

Hmmm...Ravage. I always did like that Transformer. Great job on this. It's too bad you couldn't make it transformable. (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  SMART Maxi-Challenge: Figure-8 Racing Rules

The purpose of our having a Maxi-Challenge is to learn more about building and programming robots. I hope that this challenge will accomplish that. The fact that it will be competitive, and a lot of fun to watch will be icing on the cake! In order (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

  Re: Star Wars related wallpaper

Thanks. The links have been fixed. The 800x600 render was the original version. It's been replaced now. I did use the radiosity feature. Great as it is, radiosity will kill rendering time. The 1024x768 took 12 hr. 15 min 8 sec. Probably would have (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.starwars)

  Republic Gunship Colours

(...) Speaking of which. I recently had a look through the Ep II DVD and under the special features ( I think it was the pre visualisations but I could be wrong) they had some rough renders of the Gunship and it was the exact same colours that Lego (...)   Re: How to get free shipping from S@H without spending $99

(...) Frank, you will be happy to know that I gave away a brick separator just last week. However, as for having an abundance... no I wouldn't say I do. I now have one green one and two silver ones. That's it. If I understand correctly, wasn't there (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: National Hockey League and Lego Company announce multi-year global alliance

(...) It is no coincidence that Gretzky's number was 99-- that is *2* nines. IIRC He didn't feel worthy to wear Howe's actual number so he choose 99. Gordy, of course, was Gretzky's hero. -John (23 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.general)

Re: Ebay sniper? you make the call

(...) Well, yes, it is like the game of 'chicken'. It can be spectacular. Recently the other sniper was only going $5 over the minimum bid (which I was doubling)... suffice it to say there was a lot more than $20 at stake. (23 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.market.auction)

I'm going to run a layout!

That's right folks, you heard right... I'll be displaying my town and train at the Fabius Methodist Church's Festival of Trees on Thanksgiving Weekend.
