  Re: Request regarding "Spoilers"

(...) A Clockwork Orange was released in 1971. Star Wars was released in 1977. So your own age will heavily affect whether you consider these as being "made around the same time". ;) Steve (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Request regarding "Spoilers"

(...) Does Darth Vader ever find out *whose* farm was blown away? He seems very distanced from the whole investigation. It seems like he would be briefed (in detail, if that's not an oxy-moron) on the entire investigation, but that still leaves the (...) (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Do you separate old vs. new LEGO?

(...) I do not segregate new from old. In fact, I like the variation of wear/scratches/dirt that old bricks have. IMO, it makes buildings look more realistic. A building of all brand new bricks is just too shiny and pristine for me. (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: recursion (was RE: Would-be hacker queries.)

(...) What do you mean? The algorithm a CPU uses (at least, any I'm familiar with) to execute code is an iterative algorithm (i.e. fetch instructions, decode, execute, go round again). Cheers, Ben. -- (URL) grandfather once told me that there are (...) (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: off topic kinda, What does Darth Mean

Maul is an apprentice Dark Lord of the Sith, but he is given the Darth title just like another Dark Lord aprentice that we know (Darth Vader). The only Master Dark Lord we know in the two trilogies is Darth Sidious. Pat J (...) (27 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Suggestion for LDraw FAQ

(...) Good idea. Which brings up an issue -- there would probably be a need for more directory levels than just those represented by the newsgroups, and probably just for FAQ items. Todd, how much of an issue is this? Cheers, - jsproat (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.faq)

RE: recursion (was RE: Would-be hacker queries.)

(...) (From (URL) searching for "The Ackermann Function") The url to a description of Ackermann's function: (URL) excerpt from that page: Ackermann's function, while Turing computable, grows faster than any primitive recursive function. This means (...) (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Do you separate old vs. new LEGO?

(...) I don't actually seperate the old/new for wear, but I do try to be extra careful when building with colors such as white and yellow. I should wash those colors, then I wouldn't have a problem. I do sort out a few old parts more for their (...) (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: LEGO Racers screenshot

(...) Pretty gruesome opening for a company allegedly opposed to play-time violence. Cheers, - jsproat (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Lego "pegging" disks

In lugnet.robotics, lego-robotics@crynwr.com (Jim Choate) writes: [snip] (...) [snip] They came close with the SW Y-wing fighter. The disks that make up the engine pods have an axle '+' in the center and a selection of button holes throughout the (...) (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.robotics)
