Re: Fishing for a tasty linkage/gearing/robotic building thread...

(...) ... (...) Agree. I didn't think of synchro drive and if you or any other suggested this arrangement to solve this problem I missed that message. It's a very good solution provided that you limit the rotation to 90 degrees with phisical bounds (...) (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.robotics)

This has been nagging me for a couple of days know what does the title "Darth" mean. Is it the equivalent to knight for the light side of the force? (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Sith Infiltrator

(...) Not even Micro Machines stuff holds to a particular scale, and you'd think that would be the line where they could exercise the most to-scale accuracy! Rob (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Un-Ofiicial Primitive: 1-4ring10.dat

  Re: Working on Part 30384

(...) There is still a 'primitives committee' which discusses new primitives before they are released. We decided awhile ago to not introduce new primitive files, until/unless they were actually used in a file. Which is why the ldraw/p/ directory (...) (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Target Stores exclusives?

If you haven't seen the news, the guy who posted about buying this mystery set said it was a joke. However the guy who heard of it from a TRU employee stands by his story (although you'll note he didn't really believe the employee). Rob (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Fishing for a tasty linkage/gearing/robotic building thread...

(...) <snip> (...) Surely the only reason there's usually complication is that the assembly needs to be able to rotate any amount in either direction. If 0-90 degrees is the total range, then there are lots of really simple solutions. [This next bit (...) (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Fishing for a tasty linkage/gearing/robotic building thread... (fwd)

(...) Jim, a nice suggestion. I love the escapement mechanism. But can't see how this would make us to save a sensor: we still need to know WHEN it's time to read the code sensor, I mean when the escapement is in one of its two terminal positions. (...)   Re: LEGO Racers screenshot

(...) You haven't spent much time playing any of the LEGO Media titles, have you? Minifigs regularly fly apart (the opening sequence in LEGO Island features a yellow head bouncing out of a LEGO ambulance, the driver chasing it down, and chucking it (...) (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.cad)

Just got back from...DEKA...Auckland, New Zealand

I just got back from the mid-night release of EP1 merchandise at the toy department of one of our biggest retail chains here - DEKA. We all know DEKA right kids? It was quite cool, a bit of hype before hand and a demonstration of the new figures (...) (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)
