  Star Wars in Colo. Spgs.

Still no luck in finding these in the Springs. I hit the Walmarts at Academy and Highway 83 and at Platte, the Targets at Academy and Union and on Platte, and Toys R Us. Pretty much everyone looked picked over. Oh, this happened on Monday. I'm (...) (26 years ago, 24-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.us.co.den)

  Lego CAD for Mac?

Does anyone know of a Lego CAD program for the Mac? Has anyone tried running a PC Lego CAD program through Virtual PC or Soft Windows? Rob (26 years ago, 24-Mar-99, to lugnet.general)

  UK bargain

Argos are currently selling one of the ZNAP kits (I forget the number - the one that is a helicopter / dinosaur!) for under UKP 13 --- which contains a (RIS-style) motor, battery box (useful for testing) and a couple of flexible axles...   FAorT: 6988 - Alpha Centauri Outpost

Greetings all, I have a new in box 6988 available to a good home. The box has been opened, but the bags have not. This set is great. It has two cool baseplates, 9V lighted bricks, and lots of good Blacktron II elements. This set is from 1991, is (...)   Re: new stuff on my site (coach, trolley...again, LEGO Logo art)

Thanks Larry. You told me what the bubble thing was; so, I figured you would eventually go to my site and you would eventually tell me what the power thingies are. I figured you would get a laugh if I asked by name. I like the (wait for it) part of (...) (26 years ago, 24-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

House of the Future contest winners

I have just been looking through the winners of the House of the Future contest Lego sponsored a little while ago. I must say that I am pretty unimpressed by most of the entries. I did like Alicia McDaniel's underwater city: (URL) think this is also (...) (26 years ago, 24-Mar-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: blasters in sw sets

I dislike how TLG promotes violence by including these megaphone pieces in so many of today's sets. The verbal abuse that minifigs volley at each other through these pieces has a profound and disturbing effect on the young ears that must listen. (...) (26 years ago, 24-Mar-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Lego Truck in Wellington

(...) The problem with that (and what got us started here) is that the base of the 3442 Legoland California Truck (and its predecessor/twin, 2148 Imagination Celebration Truck) is a pair of 1x16 bricks, side-by-side, making a 2x16 solid core. The (...) (26 years ago, 24-Mar-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Light blue bricks

(...) Eric, I think it more likely that this is a scanning artifact. It looks to me like the image is color shifted and these are probably cyan elements seen in previous Technic sets. Notice how light the gray elements are? If you darken the entire (...) (26 years ago, 24-Mar-99, to lugnet.general)

Students, Teachers: spare 5 minutes please

  Re: Lego Truck in Wellington

(...) That's a pretty good idea. Replace the 2x2 tile with a 3x2 plate w/ round-end and hole (ex: (URL)) and you're in business. The trailer still sits a bit too high, but at least adding the hitch mechanism isn't contributing to that problem. Steve (26 years ago, 24-Mar-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Have you used the turntable? I have been trying to build a turntable base for my digital camera (for panoramic shots) but have been having a hard time trying to get a stable base that rotates smoothly on a single shaft. cheers, rob cairns (...) -- (...) I'd like to have more colors available in the Background Color and Default Piece Color drop-downs. Or the ability to type in different color codes. While editing parts, it is useful to set the part-color to a transparent value -- it makes it much (...) (26 years ago, 24-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
