Re: people i would most like to build with...

First of all I was completely surprised to be mentioned in this list (by Sproat) considering how long I have been around. Secondly I have to say that sitting down with a bunch of Lego heads and a huge pile of precision A.B.S. parts with some SciFi (...) (26 years ago, 24-Mar-99, to lugnet.build)

Do you think this counts as fair use of the LEGO Logo?

A while ago I glued blue plates to my interchangeable PowerBook cover. This weekend I decided to write LEGO on the conver. I like it alot! Check it out if you are insterested.   Re: I have a page up showing the current status of my Lego Tantive IV!

Cool, I thought that the M. Falcon was like 1/2 the size. Anyway that is cool so I can build a M. Falcon from Karim's design to join my rebel fleet. Next up after the Corvette is done is a Rebel Transport. pat J (...) (26 years ago, 24-Mar-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build)

  Re: Lego Truck in Wellington

(...) Well, it "works" after a fashion, but I feel that the trailer is now at least 1 plate too high, and further, if you go over any kind of an incline, the trailer separates. I like using a pin or short cross axle into a technic plate instead (...) (26 years ago, 24-Mar-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: toolchain

(...) I am by no means an license expert, but I just happen to have been reading about the GPL, and the MPL is pretty similar, though there are, of course, differences. The doc that I read stated that you can apply the GPL only to the files that you (...) (26 years ago, 24-Mar-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: ldraw part update?

(...) That's on me. Sorry. Yes, it needs to be released soon. But there are a few issues that need to be resolved prior to a full release. It is possible that I will go ahead and release a partial update, and hold the few pieces that are causing (...) (26 years ago, 24-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: people i would most like to build with...

(...) Possibly :-) Let me know when you finalize you times, and I might be able to take a short trip. (...)   Re: Compiler

(...) That does appear to have been the problem after all. (...) I eventually managed to build egcs on a different computer and copy it over to mine.   Re: WTBOT: red 1x14 bricks

There are 1x14 Technic bricks, the part number is a five digit number (32018), which indicates to me that it is a relatively new part. I have a few of these, but not many.   Pictures of (very?) old Lego Idea book

Hi all! I've tried to take pictures (no scanner yet!) of my old Lego idea book. It must be from about 1960, I'm not sure exactly when - perhaps someone else can give more details... (URL) page is slow, and the picture quality is not the best, but (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-99, to lugnet.announce)

  Re: anyone out there?

(...) Hmm, As my web pages show, I'm primarily into space (though I have a soft-spot for castle sets), but even as a kid, I remember never being too interested in the "Official" Lego models. They stayed built for about 20 minutes before they got (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.us.nc.ral, lugnet.loc.us.nc.dur)

  Re: Triangle folks

You know, I think we in NC would be better served if there were a lugnet.loc.us.nc triangle (and possibly: lugnet.loc.us.nc triad). Having seperate groups for durham and raleigh really isnt that useful, since we're only 20 minutes away, and having a (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.us.nc.ral, lugnet.loc.us.nc.dur)

Re: Microfig TIE Advanced Prototype (Darth Vader's TIE FIghter)

  Re: blasters in sw sets

I read in an article on the new Star Wars line that the initial classic set release had the fastest turn around time at lego ever - 1 year. I would guess that the number of new pieces in the sets would be limitted by that short turn around. They (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Twin Cities LEGO minifest 033099

Sadly (or maybe not so sadly) I will be in Florida during our first mini Legofest.[1] I propose, however, a monthly or bi-monthly meeting to get together. A mid-May affair sounds good; I'm toast for June, but July is good. We still are up in the air (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.us.mn.msp)

  Re: blasters in sw sets
