According to Canadian S@H sales rep I contacted yesterday (99/01/25) 4533, 4553 and 4556 should be available in Canada by the end of March. I hope that they will now support full range of train set in Canada to. Martin (26 years ago, 26-Jan-99, to lugnet.announce)

  Re: Removable lightsaber blades confirmed

(...) I thought we knew that already -- the 1999 NA in-box catalog shows the blades inserted into either end of the hilt. Wasn't there some double-bladed light sabre, with blades coming out of *both* ends of the hilt? Steve (26 years ago, 26-Jan-99, to lugnet.starwars)

RE: VB5 and the RCX Datalog

Never mind! I solved the problem. Had DCOM issues. Datalog had worked before, couldn't figure it out but now I did. Works fine now. Sorry! Brian (...) (26 years ago, 26-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Helmet included in 7128??

(...) My guess (which could be wrong) is that the contracted web-developer who typed up the verbiage was looking at the set picture, and mistook Luke's hair for a helmet. I was looking at www.lego.com/catalog, and the following just struck me as (...) (26 years ago, 26-Jan-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Odd taxonomy question

(...) For clarity: not that droids are little monkeys. Just that they're similar in their not-quite-minifigness. (26 years ago, 26-Jan-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Thoughts on Turning

(...) I have built something along those lines sort of. I have two driving wheels in the center and four supports that slide (just for lino). The one support lifts the unit enough for the driving wheels to rotate. So the unit doesn't turn, but the (...) (26 years ago, 26-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: 6990 Monorail FS

(...) Thomas, I want a more complete 6990, and was mulling your offer over, but even I can't see going quite that high given the number of missing pieces. Just my opinion. Please do note that i recognise that you've replaced a number of them as best (...) (26 years ago, 26-Jan-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Winter Auction update

Greetings all, My winter auction has just advanced. More items are sold. Fewer items have no bids, but there are still several. If you are interested, check out the nicer listing at (URL) or see the rough listing below. If any description on this (...) (26 years ago, 26-Jan-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: Using motors without a power source.

(...) That makes perfect sense. If you turn any electromagnetic motor, it will produce an electric current. I think this is the basic principle that hydroelectric power plants use. Even old Lego motors do this (I tried when I was a kid with many (...) (26 years ago, 26-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

RE: VB5 and the RCX Datalog

Oh yeah, thought I would add: When I try using it in VB5 in NT4.0, nothing happens whatsoever. When Spirit1.UploadDatalog.... is reached, not IR tower action and program continues on it way with no uploaded datalog. When I try using it in VB5 in (...) (26 years ago, 26-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)
